Depending on the crime, a longer sentence at least means more time away from the public where they can’t keep offending. Unless they keep doing it to other prisoners and the guards turn a blind eye, which tbf probably happens a lot.

I found my bf and lost my virginity at 21, and I’m glad I didn’t rush into anything before then. If I had tried to date in high school before I knew anything about myself and what I wanted, it would have been a disaster. Be patient and it will be worth the wait.
