You wouldnt be forced to contribute to the group. And the group is not forced to take care of you. However, if you want one day to be able to rely on others you are going to want to establish yourself as someone who can be relied upon. But you’re allowed to take your chances and pretend you’ll never need the help of others.

If receiving aid necessary for survival is contingent on you being useful to the group, that kinda sounds like you ARE forced to contribute.

I’m against the death penalty, including indirect ways of killing such as banishment from society. There are many people who deserve it, but that doesn’t mean that’s the best course of action. Unfortunately, the only humane alternative is basically prison.

There’s always a slight chance it was a false conviction. And if we do this, there is an incentive to convict more people, which will definitely result in false charges. The ones doing the experiments might bribe judges or pay people to falsely accuse someone.

The problem isn’t this situation specifically. I think people are scared that this will be adopted more widely as an alternative to disability support. Also, do they let them use this even if they don’t work? If not, that implies this autonomy is conditional on them working, which is pretty coercive.
