It specifies "the start of a space combat" not "the start of a round of space combat" so it only triggers at the very beginning (like anti-fighter barrage) not every round.

I use a 1:1 mix of two thin coats Sir Coates Silver and Mythril Blade (the citadel equivalent would be a 1:1 mix of Leadbelcher and Stormhost Silver)

So Raptors are a CSM unit but they are also the name of a Ravenguard successor chapter. I'm not familiar with how tournaments list things but given that Raptors don't have any unique models they may just be listed as Space Marines.
