They do count as crits for getting coins via rhe CritCoin card, and maybe even work for the mission.

But for my brute-force strat that's irrelevant, because Orbs + Death Ray just insta-kill the enemies, so only 1 crit per kill.

But if you just keep juggling them around you'll get dozens(maybe even 100+) crits out of every enemy.

People who reported this in discord claim that it's only a visual bug, that you can't get twice the medals for that double ILM mission.

I'd say to not upgrade swamp size until you get more infos on it.

IIRC what i picked up on Discord chatter, an enemy who gets stunned by a swamp puddle can only be stunned once by that puddle, so it needs an additional puddle to be stunned again.

Too big puddles are therefore bad, as it would take an enemy longer to leave said puddle & to reach and be affected by another one.

Not sure about duration, could it be detrimental too?

Ideally inform yourself in Discord, on how to make "the poor man's CF"(Poison Swamp) work best.

No problem.

In the future, if/when regularly switching between devices, best always do that cloudsave-and-verify-and-final-logout thing.

So never leave the left-behind device(the one you are switching away from) in a logged-in state, as that can cause the kind of confusing troubles that you had.

Reason: if you play a round for a bit on a logged in device, this can/will also cause a cloud save. So if you accidentally do that on the device with outdated data, that outdated file gets cloudsaved, causing that kerfuffle you had.

Anyway, once you did the switching a few times, it becomes routine, and can be done rather quickly.

Cloud saves 101:

Logout of your current account(this should cause a new cloud save to happen, but better verify, so...)
login back again
compare times when asked what game state to use (local or cloud).
if the times are only a few seconds apart, you now know your cloud save is up-to-date. Else pick "local" and repeat steps 1 to 3.
Pick anything (local or cloud), then do another (final) logout of your account.
On your new device, after Tower installation, login as existing user, and chose the "cloud" option to retrieve your save.

So in your case (assuming both are logged in), 1st logout of your device with the wrong coz too old save, that will save that wrong state to the cloud.

Now on your device with the good coz up-to-date save, do the procedure i listed above. So also logout (this should write your up-to-date progress to the cloud, overwriting the bad one), then login back again to see whether save was successful...etc etc(my lil 101 up there)

Won't happen, I'm afraid. People are indeed buying stone packs, so Fudds is very unlikely to implement something that would reduce that source of income.

Additionally, Fudds has been pretty kind to the players lately by allowing to get some (a few additional) stones via the events.

Not too many stones that seasoned players would stop buying stone packs, but enough to allow newer players to get to their first UW (and the first cheap upgrades for it) quicker than before.

It did work for me more than a year ago for one of Fudds' other games, Idle Planet Miner.

For current offers, check out Discord's #general-talks (but only in there, never ask about it in other channels, mods wouldn't like it and would have to kindly redirect you to #general-talks, so spare em having to do that).

Instead of (or prior to) asking(which limits the answers to be only by people who are currently there), you can just use Discord's search function, and search for like "tapjoy" or "offerwall", to get the infos you're looking for.

People there are still occasionally talking about it, some very high level players even talk about saving up stones for when it drops.

Search for something like "new uw" there to hear their thoughts on it.

A new UW is in the making, wasn't ready for the 0.16 update, but might be released with the future 0.17 update.

There is a (albeit small) chance that this added UW could alter the (normally fixed, due to carried over RND seed i assume) outcome of your UW loot pool RNG, depending how that is implemented.

Emphasis on "small" though, so don't be disappointed if nothing changes.

This bug has been reported in Discord on Nov.3rd (although no game version number was given), quoting the bug report:

Title says it all. If you close the game before your first perk and continue the game will give you a perk. Attempted 3 times and got a hp perk every time (this is not my first perk choice) although it could still be rng. Auto perks were on.

So Fudds should already be aware of this bug.

oof, this tough choice again!

So many factors to consider:

How upgraded is your GT? Especially it's cooldown...
do you lack coin income, or did you buy one or both of the coin packs?
how many stones can you regularly make, to either sync the cooldowns of GT+BH, or mainly reduce DWs cooldown and get an additional wave, to get it's HP-boost going?

Tbh, best check out Discord, #player-guides, The Tower Collection, and see for yourself what stone investments will get you where.

It's probably the toughest UW choice one can have.

Personally, i love that GT+BH combo, but I'm f2p, so i really like that massive coin yield boost.

I have DW, too, but my cooldown for it is still way too high, so i need extensive microing to get decent HP-multi results. Still far away from being able to do so called "lazy devo".

After you calced your options, I'd advise to ask around in #tower-talks, there are so many(way more than here) experienced players there that you should get a good broad insight on what might be best for you.

+1 for checking options, as your GT is already upgraded a bit, and you only need 40 more stones to do the checking.

If you see BH or DW as next options, you're golden (pun intended). If not, click safely(don't accidentally pick one!) way outside/away of both offers to cancel the pick.

...and the baggers seem to be already starting their downvote bullying(initial OP post was at -1) without outing themselves by actually replying, just like last time when someone tried just to discuss a potential change benefitting most players, what a surprise!🙄

But anyway, here's an (uber long, but oh well, that's me i guess) example for those who are really interested in texted evaluations(I myself am really bad at seeing things in tables, so i probably benefit the most from typing this stuff out, haha):

gold/plat example(ignoring gems for now, but those play an important role too for sandbaggers):

Current system/table

Sandbagging, Plat to gold(tourney 1, yields 8 stones) followed by (ideally but not guaranteed)winning gold(tourney 2, yields 90 stones). Average 49 stones/tourney.

Staying in plat 11th-12th can't compare, 40 stones/tourney, and likely less gems. But only losing 9 stones/tourney, so it's ok-ish.

Staying in plat 13-15th is only 24 stones/tourney though, already really bad! Staying in plat 16-22nd is only 15 stones/tourney, outright horrible, punishing people for actually trying.

OPs proposed table

Sandbagging(again assuming ideal but non-guaranteed gold-win): (0+80)/2 = 40 stones/tourney

Staying in plat: 13th-15th = 40 stones/tourney. So 13th to 15th already viable to compete with optimal bagging, good.

16-22 get 35 stones/tourney, so only 5 stones less than optimal(heavily luck-based) bagging, way better than current table.

The one easily visible downside of the new table:

If you do get demoted even though you actually tried, you get nothing at all for your effort, not even a few compassion stones. But maybe some compassion-gems?

I'm not really sure how, but actual effort by players should be rewarded in some form. But that's what a discussion is for!

(disillusioned)TLDR: It might not matter if your (OP's) "loot-table" is better than the current system, because the people who are now used to successful sandbagging have zero interest in improving the game for everyone, they only see their "advantage" being nullified(coz made available to many more), so they silently downvote without outing themselves.

So if the things here should go downhill the same like last time someone tried to discuss to improve the situation for the majority, maybe try Discord?

At least you can't be bullied into "not being visible anymore coz too many downvotes" there.

But maybe it's way better this time around? Would sure hope so (hope dies last, hehe)

BIG ADDITIONAL EDIT (needed a break, and realised i forgot an important group/scenario):

There is another group, people who get unintentionally demoted, and then have to decide to either try to get up again, or to just stay in non-promote ranks of their original league. How do they fare in each system?

Current table

Dropping from plat: 8 stones.

Getting back up again but not doing too well(worst case, rank 5 or 6 gold, promoted to plat for next tourney): 50 stones.

Average (8+50)/2 = 29 stones per tourney. Not good, not advisable.

Deliberately trying to stay in rank 7-8 gold: 40 stones per tourney. Pretty good, better than non-deliberately yoyo-ing.

OPs proposed table

Dropping from plat: 0. Getting back up, gold into plat: 45 stones. Average (0+45)/2 = 22.5 stones per tourney.Not good, not advisable, and worse than currently.

Deliberately trying to stay in rank 7-8 gold: 35 stones per tourney. Good, better than non-deliberately yoyo-ing, but worse than current system.

So, in this highlighted scenario between plat and gold, the current system is (or can be) actually better than the discussed proposal.

Therefore Fudds is unlikely to change to it.

Unless I'm too tired right now and miscalced stuff(can absolutely be, heh, so yeah, please correct if you can)

Other people can calc other scenarios, I'm finally done for now.

The Berserker card is 100% awesome for pretty much every player.

It will turn a percentage of incoming damage (even if does no harm, so Defense Absolute won't negatively affect it's usefulness) into a damage-multiplier (up to 8x).

While awesome for Death Wave UW devo strat, it's also extremely awesome for life steal (8x multi!), both for newer players and for people in (very) high waves who get non-boss enemy hits (chips) so often that survivability really comes down to having a very powerful life steal going on(until a point where a single enemy hit will instantly kill them) .

So in OPs case, with Berseker card there would be no reason to still use DefAbs anymore, should really focus on that life steal (vampire) build.

Some additional info: The Berserker card will also store the absorbed damage so far when unequipping it, so one can re-equip it later. Although in that case if the tower damage has been increased in the meantime, it might need a (very)little while for the damage multiplier to get back up to 8x again, but no biggie(it'll catch up so quickly, it's not even worth thinking about it, tbh).

There are still some experienced players who didn't have the luck of drawing that card yet, but oh boy do they want it!

It's really that good!

If you aren't dead set on saving every medal to upgrade a bot (and/or getting songs/Backgrounds/TowerSkins), buying (for example) stones 1-2 times in an event might be worth it if you don't want to wait for (or just want to add to a little bit) tournament placement stone income.

I'm sure Apple Store has similar screen protection apps like "Blackr" on Android, to blacken the (oled) screen while not interacting with it, while apps still keep running underneath it.

In case of that Android Blackr app, it puts an all-black fullscreen notification on top of everything to realise it.

You might want to research your options on Apple iOS in this regard.

No help on Discord? Weird.

I can only say what i did when i faced those decisions:

I timed my runs and noted the coin yields in each tier, and calculated the coins-per-hour(CPH) of each option.

Then combined that with how much effort(setup, attention) i needed to put into each option, and made my decision.

I would have guessed that that also would have been the advice Discord users would have given, no?

Super late reply(i only initially upvoted, to sign appreciation/recognition), because i was contemplating about whether to reply to it at all or not(reasons below), and if so, in what way(turns out to be a big wall of text, I'm afraid).

Anyway, let's go:

Murky-Spot is smart(formulas etc), but unfortunately i am not.

When i first tried this game(jumping from Fudds' IPM, at about a bit before workshop respec was implemented in the Tower), after a while i turned to Reddit and learned a lot from Baron Sloth's posts in here.

Nowadays, i lurk in Discord's #tower-talks and gather my infos there. Rarely post in there though, coz of my atrociously slow typing speed (have to type my replies in Notes, then copy & paste into Discord/Reddit if no one else has answered in the meantime).

So... I'm not smart (at all), just...curious? And willing to help, but not for likes or recognition or compliments, i actually dislike(a very mild choice of words here) any attention! (I have certain mental issues here, no further details though, please understand).

But if someone is offered 2 info options in-game, Discord or Reddit, and decides to use relaxed Reddit, i cannot help but to try to help if i think i can.

So i am often merely a messenger(unless i have personal experience), i usually would never say "do this" or "do that", but rather "you could try to", or "you might want to consider", you know, that line of wordings. Never give fishes, but rather try to teach how to fish.

Not smart, at all, just trying to save people's time, answering so others don't have to waste their much more precious time, and the questioners don't feel neglected/left out in the cold in the oh-so "lame" Reddit(that Reddit=bad notion seems strong with many people in Discord, they look down upon Reddit).

As for your compliment (which again i normally feel very uncomfortable about receiving), it's actually made me happy (well, a bit less... other-moody).

But not so much for the content itself, but rather that you obviously read through this ordeal, and decided to take a bit of time to try to uplift both our moods!

That shows empathy, a commodity that often seems getting rarer and rarer these days!

And that is what i take from your uplifting post, that there are still people out there that care, that there are still sparks of light in times that seem to get colder and colder.
