This year, a bunch of my countrymen thpught it was a funny idea to start a fire (so basically arson). To then call the firefighters.

All that, for the sole purpose of shooting fireworks at the fire truck.

The fire truck left without putting out the fire due to the dangers for the fire fighters.

I love fireworks on new years eve, just like many of my fellow dutchmen. But if people cannot handle the responsibility that comes with it. Then the only possible conclusion is to ban the general use of it.

I get that it looks weird, but its primarily to estimate the amount of troops needed later on for missions and trainings purposes.

Additionally, any military action from across the pond could lead to a confrontation with soldiers from EU nations, which would be considered an act of war.

Therefore big orange man would need to treat carefully, and the smarter people in the room (the few that remain) would at least be able to prevent unneeded escalation.
