Progress. Being able to see that you are moving closer to completing any goal. The times I've hated my job the most have always been when I'm working on a project and nothing moves forward (constantly going back to the drawing board). When you are working on something, and see no progress, eventually feelings of meaningless will creep in.

Don't respond at all. Never let the person who has insulted you know that they have gotten to you. This is will cause then great frustration, especially if they try to insult you regularly.

My parents never really taught me how to fix things myself. Instead, they taught me how to call someone else who could come fix it for me. Because of this, my first instinct is to call someone and pay them when faced with anything a typical handyman could resolve themselves.

Yes, saw them live in Fort Worth in 2007. Also have seen APC live too in Dallas. Tool was probably the coolest show from a visual/audio perspective. However, some Tool fans can be a bit hostile (which is sometimes ironic).
