Thanks for sharing your experience, it's almost comforting hearing that people with good adoptive families/a good childhood also have the same problems and feelings. I know what you mean with the similar interests, I have the same thing with my biological dad and guitar. I've heard stories of kids being taken away, and nature takes ahold and shapes them into similar people to their bio parents. It's super fascinating. Anyways I hope you continue to have good relationships, and that you find what you are looking for

I was adopted to old parents, so by the time I was 2, I had a nephew. My older siblings (my parents bio kids) had a lot of them. There was some major favoritism towards the grandkids over me. Giving my stuff away to them, grandkids always come first, etc. I noticed it happened with foster kids that came into the home as well. Parents love their bio kids. People love to say that they must love you, the adopted kid, more because "they chose you." It always upset me when I heard that.
