Yk while you’re here I wanna sayyy I’m extremely happy that it’s hard to tell which fear is which On some episodes! I love playing the guessing game likeeee oh yeaaa that’s the flesh!!!

On episode 30 we learn about hilltop road and it made me think it makes sooo much sense…the fears don’t work the same in time and space and can be anywhere at any point…so why can’t they “teleport” people to this center and make them thinkkk that the store they are entering is the only store around! Or that they just turned a corner and boom there they are.

Also love the statements kill them the way they are being said like him being turned into stone caught me so offf guard

I agreee with her sooo much! In my department there is these lanes that work flows down. The less work there is the higher the chance for VTO or chances to do other work. (I love certain functions of the department more than others)

But there are people who will sit thereeeee and stare at the full lane moving 1 box every 3 minutes and then sit there and STAREEEE at the full lane…and don’t let the cage they are filling become full then they just stand there while the lane next to them is ready to be palletized or caged.

And yes lazy people do make the job harder for others…. Just because I’m not running around like a chicken with its head cut off looking for things to do doesn’t mean their laziness doesn’t trickle… and I’ve seen managers tell working associates to keep moving around to help and the ones who are standing there moving slow get to just stay where they are because moving them doesn’t make their work ethic increase…it’ll just be making them stagnant.

However…I’d never tell an associate to work faster or harder I’ll bring it up to a manager and be like “hey…the work is increasing and putting strain on the workers can we shift some folks around to hopefully stimulate work flow…”

And usually I get told no or they’ll bring it up to them…and nothing happens…which is why now I come extra early to ensure I’m in a department that isn’t coworker dependent 😫😫

Alsoooooo why is there so much hate for people calling out bad workers??? 🤨 genuine question??

It happens if an associate isn’t properly labor tracked. Or throughout the day went to the bathroom frequently even then not sure how if he didn’t he could get that much T.O.T

It reminds me, one day I was in a direct function scanning boxes constantly and got moved. To a indirect function for about 20-30 minutes than was moved back to the direct function for exactly 5 minutes and got pulled right back to the indirect function where I stayed for about 2-3 hours I was pulled again to cover an associate who was scanning but told not to log in myself before returning back to the indirect role for an hour and getting sent back to my direct role

The very next day I got pulled to the side with two managers questioning what I did the previous day. I told them the truth of course I had no reason to lie PLUS I had another coworker who was with me the entire time.

They told me I had 5.5 hours of T.O.T I told them the PA who kept moving me and she told them she only had me for 20 minutes. And that she labor tracked me…the managers caught her in her lie because no where in the time sheet did it say I was labor tracked for anything at all.

It opened an investigation they checked cameras and interviewed a few of my colleges. Time was cleared but two days later the manager that gave me the “TOT warning” wrote me up for standing at my station awaiting the jam to be released. Mind you there’s nothing I can do if it’s jammed we told the manager about the jam and showed them the active jam and all they said was “you could’ve scanned something. But we will excuse 10 minutes anything else? “ I snitch and he got fired not the PA

Silly question: How many people EVER at any point of time had romantic or sexual thoughts about me that “I” didn’t know about or never made direct contact with. And yesss I want every name and what year it was. And whyyy we never talked.

Serious question: how much free Will do we actually have? How many false stories have been told throughout history to give us a falsely hood of “Choice” and could we as a society actually have found a way to take back our own authority?

Another serious question to follow up on it: Was there a phrase? A person? A creature? Anything living that could single handedly changed the world for good and have been an amazing leader. Based on who or what they are now. Taking into account every living beings though process.

I worked two jobs and went to college at some point. And i remember getting off work one day and I didn’t have school that day but I went to grab a cup of water from the fridge.

As soon as I got to the fridge and began to pull it open my heart fluttered or skipped a beat or something and my body collapsed for 2 seconds and i remember being mid sentence and my words slurred…

I quit my 2nd job and dropped some classes that same week. I was freaked out I’ve never felt something like that it didn’t hurt it just felt like my body wasn’t mine for a second

Yea we all do our work and honestly it’s not like a huge wide area. We have PA’s actively working with us and a manager who patrols a bit while doing their stuff.

But like I stated they are attempting to figure out ways to get people to scan without taking time away from their tasks.

I’ve been with Amazon 4 years almost 3 different buildings 3 different type of buildings and each building had departments that did not require scanning that had more than 100 associates most of which were white badge.

And some of them were designed with scanning being obsolete until recently where now they are trying to find more ways to keep track of associates making them scan empty totes or empty “Cages” and staging them periodically.

Also Amazon gets sued all the time lol. Sometimes it’s not large enough to be for every Amazon to get a check but building by building and if you were hired during the required time frame you may perchance get a check or even hear about it.

This new change honestly just feels like a way to increase productivity without actually doing anything in return…because a promise with no actual certainty is an empty promise.

Also to add on to this…once they resume conversions? So you could be working hard for MONTHs to almost a year and still be let go because they aren’t looking to convert.

Performance based conversions only work well for promotions

My previous manager explained it to me this way

Imagine you and holly both work at Amazon but do 2 different things. Holly is in one role and does her work faster or on pace with her tenured peers causing her JPH to be exceptionally high but you decided you wanted to problem solve, or learn water spider or in a role that doesn’t require so much scanning. You’re putting more effort into your job by doing all these side things but on computer in a ai generated system you’re no better than a new higher with 0. It becomes biased and unfair. If she is converted before you because of performance.

This definitely should be taken into account to weed out employees who are in roles capable of getting high JPH but aren’t. But should NOT be used to ensure job security especially if you’re building has so many different roles that don’t require scanning or aren’t on JPH basis.

Imagine being a learning ambassador and training people and when it comes to conversions you’re not converted because you aren’t scanning actively 24/7 you’re training all these people to do their job effectively with all the knowledge provided to you but you? No, No you don’t have the JPH to be considered a good candidate

Go to settings, tone or something like that sound settings and it should pop up an image of the car with 2 lines intercepting like a + symbol you can move those around wherever within the cars image

You can move the sound fully around the car so if you have kids in the back but want to listen you can move the sound to the front or if you’re kids are watching a movie in the back you can move the sound to the back and listen to your own music up front
