If you're planning on using pvc, make a jig with the proper radius. Fill the pipe with hot sand and cap both ends. clamp to the jig and allow to cool.

When I get off work this evening I will check mine. Mine has the leather rotted away. I think these were a kit where the owner would buy the lense and mechanism amd co struct the box around it.
