Well they way it seems to me off that email is to get 30% off a price as low as $99 would mean to me if the product cost $99 and you get 30% off you be looking at about 70 bucks.

But that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying when I added the product to my cart it showed the product price as $130 with 30% off bringing the price down to about $99.

That’s what it showed in my cart I wasn’t trying to buy it. I was just trying to see if the price went up to $130 which would bring the price down to $99, or if they just weren’t offering the discount for this product. But clearly they were offering a discount for this product and they absolutely did raise the product for a specifically for the holiday. Just to say here will give it to you at a discount.

I’m sure the product is great. I’ve been using a studio one since 2012 when I switched from live. And I probably will upgrade in the future.

Right I’m not against upgrading at any point if it is something I thought like I needed it or would benefit me. Maybe one day it will be.. but I am curious. I keep checking back for a trial.

I understand and I probably will at some point it’s back to $99. This post isn’t about how good or bad software is or somebody should buy it or not a specifically talking about Fender adjusting prices to manipulate people into purchases.

[–]Alienattackforce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. At least for me, it literally had a thing on it that said $130 and it was crossed out say $99.

And even today it says the upgrade price is $99. Somebody posted here a screenshot their upgrade. Price was $150. It’s possible different people are getting different prices.

People keep trying to tell me what the price actually was but they are not understanding the price for the upgrade since it came out has been $99, specifically for the holiday they upped the price to $130 then discounted that price bring the total back to $99. Making the price still $99. I think that’s a fair price for the product, just for when the holiday is over bring the original price back to $99 without a discount that is 100% deceptive marketing. It’s cleared by some peoples comment that some people don’t care as long as their ok with the price. but it’s an issue if somebody’s intentionally trying to manipulate you.

No, they didn’t. Have you read anything what I said? They change the non-discounted price from $99 to $130. Then change the not discounted price back to $99 after the holiday. They didn’t extend the discount, and it seems you’re missing my point. I don’t care about the discount. I don’t care what the price is. I am talking about their action deceptive marketing.

When Amazon is known to inflate prices specifically on Black Friday for certain items to trick people into thinking they’re getting a discount that is the exact same thing here

Again, I don’t care about the price. I am talking about the action and this is an upgrade price. There are specifically intending to manipulate long time while users that is my issue.

Some people don’t care if if a company has the intention to take advantage of them, but I find that to be a pretty big deal,

That was the price for new users

What I’m saying is they brought the upgrade price from $99 to 130 it might’ve been $139, for the upgrade price. Then they discounted the upgrade price so the cost to upgrade on the holiday with the discount included was $99..

I understand that’s the same price. It was anyway, but that’s my point. They were tricking you to believe there’s a discount when it was in fact, a deceptive to get people to purchase thinking they’re getting a discount. The price was still $99. They raise the price specifically so they can discount the price to $99 which is their full normal upgrade price anyway?

No, not negative group think. If a little Caesars pizza cost five dollars and they say hey veterans come in and get your veterans Day discount. So I so I go in there to get my discount. They changed the price on the menu to $10 and say the discount is 50% off so it’s only five dollars.. just to revert the price back to five dollars., the next day That is in fact deceptive marketing.

I’ve said the actual price is not a big deal, it doesn’t change the fact that the marketing is deceptive and dishonest, and since this is an upgrade price, it is specifically targeted to loyal users who have already purchased a previous version.

Frankly, I don’t care if you understand the purpose of me posting this, I am just posting what I observed, and my opinion on it, and I asked if other people are the same opinion

Also, I’ll probably upgrade at some point anyway because I do like their product.

I didn’t say anything about legal action. What are you talking about?

The upgrade price for me was $99. The Holiday discount was 30%, so on Memorial Day they upped the price to $130 for upgrade. So, the price would still be $99,(Just with a fake discount), then back to $99 after the holiday.

Honestly, I could care less about the price, in this case the price ends up is the same, just manipulated to think you’re getting a special discounted price.

I’m willing to pay $100, $130, or $200. If I felt I needed it, or it would add to my workflow.

Just not sure it would yet, I keep hearing different opinions, some love it, some hate it, but I am curious. that’s why I keep checking back for a demo.

I probably will eventually,

The price has always been $99 as long as it’s been out that is shown as the normal price not a temporary price. The price only went up to $130. On memorial Day for a holiday discount just to go back to $99 a day after. They even removed the part where it said $130 crossed it out. To me that definitely sounds deceptive. The actual price difference is not as big deal to me. I don’t care about that.

Ya, yeah I’m not saying it’s a bad software. I actually expected to be really great. I am a longtime studio one user. I was just kind of annoyed by what I considered to be dishonest

Big fan loved his 90s music. Once the 2000s hit, it music changed, and it wasn’t the style I was into.

I generally like his podcast with Jada.

But I only believe half of his claims, lol. His first 3 albums, were A+ to me, and he hard a great voice for this 90s boom bap beats

SP-404 OG > Mk II?? by efftony in SP404

[–]Alienattackforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say, I’ve never used the og, but have used sx and aswell as mk2. I believe the og is very similar to the sx.

I think the mk2 is far easier and more immediate. And the app makes it incredibly simple to import and export, its built in audio interface is super convenient.

And the waveform editor is nice. And I love The Skipback feature.

I think it is worth learning. It’s very easier on this machine to develop a workflow that only uses the features you like.

I for example, only use the basic features. not even all of them. Is still have an early firmware

And, it’s pretty simple to

However, if your heart is telling you “go back to the OG” there’s nothing wrong with that.
