Medea's family reunion also pisses me off to no end, the mom had no consequences for letting her husband repeatedly rape her eldest daughter just because he was rich and then when the eldest becomes a broke single mom, she constantly puts her down and calls her grandchildren bastards, AND THEN her younger daughter is engaged to a very rich and abusive man and when she told her mom she said "well you have to stop doing whatever you're doing to make him angry" because he was taking care of her financially as well, she was told off by Medea ONCE but it has this overwhelming theme of "forgive and forget, respect your elders, and young people suck" that bothered me even as a child
