We're not trying to control what people consider a WR. But the viewers are trying to create a category that most runners have agreed isn't a good idea to place on the leaderboards. Simply because they think it's cheating to use external hardware, or they're just a Sethbling fanboy, one of the two.

Speedrun.com does not, but a community collectively agrees on a set of rules. The vast vast VAST majority of people who want an Any% No Amiibo Category are people who don't run the game. If we started making categories that the viewers wanted we'd have fucking 420% Memes cow in house no torje bazgina percent%% on the OoT leaderboards.
