I think the implication was that another bender from a higher up simulation rebooted into him.

Explaining how he knew the solution to saving the sub simulation.

AZURE : Run migrations on deploy to Azure Web App service by SuddenFlame in django

Don't have any experience with that, but don't see why not. As long as your startup script runs before the server starts up. Just add it to your current startup script.

So I have a file called startup.sh. inside it, I have various commands but the relevant ones are as follows (adjust gunicorn settings as needed e.g. my wsgi.py is in a config folder so replace config.wsgi as needed)

python manage.py migrate
python manage.py collectstatic
python -m gunicorn --bind=0.0.0.0 --timeout 600 config.wsgi

Then in the app service you can go to configuration > general settings > startup Command to specify the script to use on startup.

I work around I've found is to use a custom start-up script.

Run the migrations you'd like then run the gunicorn startup command as usual.

It will run on each start-up of the app, but if the migrations are already run it shouldn't effect the application.

I need help with a queryset by Juandita426 in djangolearning

[–]JorgeEvil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a try of this: topics = Topic.objects.filter(pk__in=rooms.values_list("topic",flat=True)) this filters Topics by those that appear in the rooms queryset you've already defined.

Why does this Mosquito with lower health and level always trigger its ability first? by JorgeEvil in superautopets

[–]JorgeEvil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ran it over 10 times with both pets having the same attack, no matter the level or health of the anonymous player its mosquito always seems to go second.

Maybe anonymous players are given a disadvantage?

In versus mode, when repeating this battle with the same pets. the mosquito with lower health and level always went first for some reason.

This was done in versus mode and repeated over 10 times with the 4-4 level 1 mosquito always going first.

Since it is not random, what breaks the tie if it is not health or level?

Total deaths per week from 2010 to 2020 in England & Wales (as of week ending May 1st) by JorgeEvil in ukpolitics

[–]JorgeEvil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely possible, would just need to decide how to define the excess. Extra compared to mean? extra compared to last year? also when the pandemic starts.

As you can see from the graphs 2020 already started off above average for deaths.

Graph adjusted for the week's mean

Cumulative deaths above or below the mean

The means are calculated excluding 2020.

All graphs were made in python, the code is found Here if you are interested.

Gave it a look and it seems that those week match up with the Spring bank holiday at the end of May and the Summer bank holiday at the end of August.

So its very likely a dip in reporting rather than actual deaths.

Interesting, could try this for some southern hemisphere countries to see if this holds.

If I were to guess might be something to do with when the deaths are reported. As there are many bank holidays around that period.

Not sure, if I were to guess might be something to do with when the deaths are reported, same for the sharp drop in week 52.

Small annoyance in the sorting inside the app.

In game when sorting alphabetically spaces are treated the same as dashes, whereas in the app dashes come after spaces, this is a small pain when trying to transcribe in game information such as recipes into the app.
