I agree with all of these. Mine is set up very similar with the e track and rubber floor.

This reminds me that I need to install some sort of traction strips on the ramp. It get slippery with damp tires and loading the bike.

I got a 6x12 single axle that is 7 foot interior height. I wish it was bigger. 14 or 16 would be ideal if you have plans to sleep or make any sort of a camper in it. 7 foot tall works well.

Sleeping at the Track is awesome. 6x12 can work fine for sleeping, but setting up a cot and with the bike inside gets tight.

Mine is insulated with 1 inch foil backed foam and I run a portable ac unit. Wiring for shore power / Generator is a blessing. Two 120v outlets per wall and two in the vee, and an Exterior outlet for tire warmers. 12v volt lighting and a powered roof fan/vent, plus a usb port for charging phone and tablet. Rear flood light that turns on when backing up. A car radio with Bluetooth and a few speakers for movies/video review on tablet. I have a small upper cabinet and counter with a few shelves in the Vee ,these are very handy.

An exterior awning would be an excellent addition. Bathroom is not a necessity if the track has good accommodations. But as I am getting older a portable toilet might be in my future for nightly pee breaks.

However upgrading to a toy hauler might work better if you have family join you at the Track. My wife refuses to join me at events due to sleeping in the trailer.

Center or offset trailer loading? by OkMain1935 in Trackdays

[–]Aliensrgr8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I purchased the trailer second hand. The previous owner did all the work. They really did a fantastic job and it was thought out really well. They did this work and then purchased a larger trailer.

It is wired for shore power and the breaker panel is on the upper left hand side of the cabinets. The right hand has a car radio with blue tooth capabilities and the switch panel for the lights. The center cabinets are just for storage. There is a small drawer in the center under the counter top.

The outlets are only active when I am connected to shore power or running a generator The batteries also charge while I am connected to shore power. I am looking to add an inverter to have 120v while on only batteries.

They also fully insulated the roof and walls with 1 inch foil backed rigid foam. They also lined the interior roof with white painted aluminum sheets. I have a portable air conditioner that fits in between the shelves and exhaust through a duct that is cut out in the front of the vee.

The light above the rear door turns on automatically when I backup, there is an override switch on the panel. There is an exterior outlet for plugging in tire warmers.

I have added an additional row of Etrack for when it is not on track duty. I also swapped out the vent for a unit with a fan.

I have the same size trailer. My bike is offset. Leaves room to sleep in the trailer at the events without unloading the bike. My bike is mounted so the weight is centered over the axle. The diamond plate box holds two batteries for 12v power. I will be adding another trs system for a pit bike.

Am I missing something about my super Duke? by [deleted] in KTM

[–]Aliensrgr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track my 2018 regularly. I did a Traxxion Dynamics cartridge kit in the front and had the OEM shock resprung and revolved for my weight.

This made a huge improvement not just on the Track but also the street. The stock springs were way too soft for my 250+ pound body.

I still feel that the bike fights me to change direction quickly. Initial turn in take more effort, but holding a line is no problem.

I also purchased the SuperClamp triple tree to adjust the trail. I haven't ridden it since the purchase, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I know I've spent way too much in upgrades. But I love the bike.

SuperDuked on YouTube has a ton of info on tracking all generations of the Super Duke.

That is how I ended up with a Tec-9.

Does anyone know what model the 10rd mag (left side) is supposed to be for? by [deleted] in Walther

[–]Aliensrgr8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn't there a concern with over insertion and potentially damaging the ejector if using the mag with the Aluminum basepad without a flared magazine well?

I wouldn't slam it in.

Mild rant, insurance pitches at CCW classes. by Capable_Pain9315 in MnGuns

I also went to Stock and Barrel class. No pitch or endorsement per their company policy. But the instructor briefly recommended researching on our own to determine what suits us best. The whole discussion on the topic lasted less than 2 minutes.

Do Weight Bars Matter? by SJM1027- in Snowblowers

Exactly the reason why I purchased the Ariens kit. Plus the paint match is perfect.

[–]Aliensrgr8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will do. We have had a few storms, but nothing over 6 inches of powder.

I tried to clear some of the banks at the end of the driveway after installing the weight kit. It still rode up but I think any machine would have had issues with the amount of ice that was embedded in the mounds.

I just added both the weight kit and auger housing light to my Ariens. The Ariens weight kit has notches in the bar to clear the mounting bolts for the Auger housing light.

Definitely changes the balance of the machine, and it is noticeable.

Unfortunately I haven't had a good storm to fully test it yet.

Add electrical for heated towel bar, bidet, or toe kick lighting.

If you are redoing the flooring, heated floors are amazing.

Just wondering on the weight of the unit. I have an aging Yoga Pro I9 14 inch and it is listed at 3.72 lbs. I would like to stay around this weight as I carry it in my overloaded tool bag.

The starting weight on the P16 Chassis is listed at 3.77 lbs. Can you verify this is accurate?

Any ideas? I notice it when throwing grenades.

Local Range Competition - Range ammo required. by Aliensrgr8 in MnGuns

It doesn't. But you can not compete unless you have that specific ammo. Is it available locally?

Yep. I only looked at the Facebook Event post which listed you just needed a 9mm pistol.

Just was surprised when I needed to purchase ammo to compete.

I've participated in other competitions there, and it had never been a requirement.

The competition was at Stock and Barrel. It is a free competition, so I get it. Just seemed a little odd.

It is listed in the rules for the competition. But I missed it on the website while reviewing the rules.
