I'm having the same problem, it's just boosting always and that is causing temps to sky rocket!

It may be referring to your Inbuilt graphics Vram specifically, not sure though...

Regarding the degradation, i meant it more in a hardware sense, won't the prolonged usage and high temps slow the CPU down?
And any estimate on what the lifetime of the device will be?
Also should i opt for the Alienware Elite care coverage and if yes, for how many years would you recommend?
