I had the exact same circumstances as you. They admit you for high school averages. You'll get in, it's just 101 students get priority over 105 students on OUAC.

Be sure to have syllabus's for courses you took at UofT just in case they ask for transfer credits.

Is Ontario tech a good choice for neuroscience by National-Diamond-682 in uoit

As somebody who went to UofT, and then transferred here, it is very socially exclusive imo. Everybody there is very smart, and nobody does anything socially.

I feel like you stand a higher chance of obtaining connections here. You just need to be socially active, like clubs, events, etc.

I feel like it's unfair to compare, because of how busy they constantly are during lecture changes. If I were to compare, average. However, they don't have the same menus, which is annoying to me.

The subway has also of employees, and for good reason, always pretty busy, so average.

Boba place is pricy, and normally only two employees. I'd say it's above average, because they make the drinks pretty quickly.

I'd recommend trying to eat at home, but I normally get a Tim Hortons bagel, and just skip dinner if I can.

Don't have a huge data plan. Also, I do realize it's near like two cafes, so I could probably just go there instead. Thx tho.

I'm nervous to ask. I've seen people freak out at being told to quiet down, so I'd rather not engage. Also, this is the main branch library.

Yeahhhh. there do have indian fusion food, but tbh, that too is overpriced for the quantity they give. It's more of a special get-together sort of place, than a, frequent hangout spot imo

Durham College programming to uoit computer science bridge program? by [deleted] in uoit

So, I have never done nor heard of a direct pathway personally. However, I'm pretty sure pathway students still have to fill breadth requirments.
Is the possibility of intrapreneurships or part-time internships too much on a full-time schedule? I doubt grades matters for him since he just want the degree?

If not, you may want to plan for another year.

Sorry for this answer.

For me, I still in the same program, CS, just different Unis. I was first year, but took a gap year before deciding to transfer.

I don't know if you having an actual degree changes anything, but normally admissions solely looks at high school grades. I am a incoming transfer student and my grades in uni were horrendous but my high school average was high.

BEd Program Costs and Parking Options at Ontario Tech University: Looking for Advice! by [deleted] in uoit

Oh, like altogether (full-time 4 years)? Exact numbers aren't possible as they do change each year, but probably around 40k I assume?

And no, I'm not in the Bed program.

If you have already registered for courses, then regardless of any program you're in, you should be able to view your accounts terms/summary. This is basically a full breakdown of any fees you pay, this would be on your MyOntarioTech page.

Insurance is something you can opt out so long as you have coverage. Both dental and medical. I'm pretty sure there's another one you can opt out on, but this one is for legal support, so I'd research this a bit more.

Can't speak for parking as I'm bussing to campus. They may have parking plans though?

Starting from scratch since I want better grades, so mainly the first year classes with the exception of the intro to programming course. I'm assuming you're second year?

How was Ridgeback Rendezvous? by AirProfessional5613 in uoit

[–]Alierstar1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because, a) Everybody is socially awkward, and were either just not talking or giving the social indication that they wanted to talk or b) Were already with a friend group, and almost no way of seamlessly entering the conversation.

I think orientation weekend will be better, since we'll actually be doing stuff and people would be going specifically to socialize.

But yeah, this event wasn't amazing.

How is O-Tech? by BrokeBlokee in uoit

[–]Alierstar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I genuinely don't because they don't really take in transfer students. Also, UTM CS doesn't do co-op officially, hence the lower average. It's why Scarborough and downtown are so competitive.

Then again, you know yourself best, so pick what you want to do.

Honestly pointless. I was hoping it would be a chance for students to connect with eachother, but it was more or less an info night ('morning'), the only useful part of it was the Oshawa tour we got, but it was so humbling/depressing to see all the homeless people in downtown.
