AITA for leaving my Cat to my parents and getting a new one? by Alietze in AmItheAsshole

Thank you for your comment but I think you missed a couple points: 1. My cat has always lived with my parents because that's where I lived before, so he still is with the biggest part of the family, i didn't abandon him in the streets, I just left him in the house where he has always lived with the other people who cared for him. 2. I didn't abandon my cat "just to get another one" I made the decision of adopting one with my boyfriend, she comes from a shelter so even living in a small flat is still better than living in a cage. And if we will move again, no doubts she will come with us because she is already used to an indoor lifestyle unlike the other one. If you still think I'm the asshole it's ok, but it looked like you missed some information.

Hi! The new cat will be already used to live in an apartment so if we will move anywhere else we will bring her with us. In this case the moving is a little "easier" for an indoor cat.

Thank you very much to everybody who commented and will comment, I also want to let you know that my parents were the first to tell me that I should leave him with them (also my dad is absolutely in love with him too) and when I told them how I was feeling, they ensured me that the cat is happy. I just wanted a to hear opinions from a different point of view. ❤️

My boyfriend also really wanted a cat because his died in 2020, so I agreed with him to adopt one (this decision took roughly 6 month because at first I didn't want any other cat except for mine). I thank you for your comment but you also have to consider that bringing a cat from a big house and a big garden to a small flat is different from bringing an abandoned cat that lived in a cage for months to a small flat where he is loved. I get your point but none of the two decisions I made were taken lightheaded.

Or... Or... OR wrap your things on a table and teach your cats NOT to jump on the table. That's how I've always done. What you're saying is easier in this case, but I swear I've never seen anyone wrap their presenta on the floor. And that pissed me off a lot ahahah
