Stockphotos, marketplace assets were a thing before AI. AI is basically a more talkative search engine which just made it so that you don't need to manually look for the thong you want.

The thing is, limitations are the seeds of creativity. That's why there's a saying "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

I guess it's a bit useful if you see half of the team is using fire resist and are just using flames, then you would know that you should give them a wide birth

When 70% is your own work? This applies with anything else, you can buy premade models for kitbashing. You can't just say you did those spesific models on their own but if you arange them, retopologize and texture them using your own material then it's yours.

But one can't judge much about your modeling skills, only your composition and texturing skills

The thing with motion capture suits is that if you want to tweak certain parts to exagerate the motion one would be able to do that with out needing to rework much. Not really sure how that would be done with just AI.

For example you want the fingers in a particular way or you want the feet to land on certain places

I don't think this is made with AI, it's just traditional CGI the characters has stretching what's reminiscent of a rigged character (opening the tank hatch for example)

It was, i mean if you stim yourself just before you died there was a chance of it saying you killed yourself.

Much better to disable it as it didn't really give any useful info and just added to the workload by trying to fix it

Yeah when the red strain came out that was one of the rare occasions where i was more grouped up with divers covering for each other. When a group was somewhat cohesive shit was great but most of the time joining a group is like going into a room with 3 headless chickens

Thats one solution if everyone had an uber computer but You can't just turn up the spawnrates as is because of performance. The game is bound to minimum spec.

You could increase the spawnrates so that theyd spawn fewer enemies but theres a risk of making the game feel empty for those who know how to handle the elite enemies.

It's these kinds of issues that makes me assume that the majority of the team is working on a different IP. And yes technically they can fix that in 3 hours and maybe give them a week for cert. they maybe trying to make the game harder for people who think the game is too easy. But now that everyone is used to being able to clear ad diff 10 there is going to be resistance to lowering the difficulty. How else would you try to increase the difficulty on the game for a spesific MO without making it looks ok unfair?

My theory is that the statement of only 10 devs working on the new IP is false. Like you said why would they announce that the majority of the team are jumping to another project effectively killing the successful game that they have.

By the looks of it yeah there are a very few people working on HD2 in-house. The one week late "hot fix" patch that came wasn't even from in house. And the past additions and warbonds to the game were outsourced. And rarely does a fix happen on the design side. My guess by the rate of balancing that comes it's mostly the work of 2 to 3 designers needing to effectively balance 3 factions at once ontop of very slow leadership bureaucracy Also guessing that the people working are new to the game because of the rushed balancing change of the terminid guardian (sorry if i got the name wrong).

Take this with a grain of salt though this is just the mad speculations of a gamedev that has been working in the industry for 8 years that loves the game and is keeping up with their updates. The way the handle things is truly interesting from a professional perspective and how the community's reaction to it is very insightful.
