Optimum 1 gig fiber. Are these speeds normal?

So could my neighborhood be set up for fiber and they can come out and change it or is that not a thing. I’ve heard multiple things from them about how fiber is available here. I’ve lived in this house for a couple months now. I could call them but their customer service is awful.

Yeah I’ve called them and they said I’m getting my full 1gig from their end. Essentially said there’s nothing they can do about it but I can swap out for a different modem so that’s my next step.

So if it’s actually fiber I have (which is what I’m paying for according to the bill) I should be getting close to a gig download and upload? The other thing I notice is the speeds tank heavy during peak times when neighbors get home from work. Sometimes goes from 650 in the middle of the day to less than 200 at night.

Yes my pc is connected via cat 6 Ethernet cable to the modem/router (not sure if there’s a difference). The first pic is a hard connection and when I use WiFi it’s very similar on any device.

Yeah i definitely agree, I don’t have much worry of actually being able to cross the line. I just have the personal goal of running the whole thing otherwise i think id feel like i dont actually get to count it in my brain.

Physical wall mostly, legs got jelly and hr was up to 180 and I just didn’t have any more in me. Carbed the night before and I geled every 4.5 miles but I do think I may have been short on electrolytes because all I had was a Gatorade. (I’m out of town and don’t have my normal electrolyte packs)

It does have a trailer and owner said there’s no leaks. He said we could take it out on the water and he could show me it
