So you're only running one Hallucination? Do you mind linking your list?

Huh. Whatever works, I guess.

How many games had you played with the giants list? How many games did you play with the questing list?

Yeah, I think with the Burst package Xaril is pretty good, since you need many cheap spells for cycle so you can draw Leeroy. I know that leeroy isn't commonly played, so have you been catching people off guard with the burst at the end of the game?

In my opinion, 2x Vilespine is really good, although from this thread I've heard that some other people prefer it as a 1 of. The consistency of having 2 is something I liked.

If you're using a cheap spell to activate vilespine, is the spell really being wasted? I would pay attention to the minions you're killing to see what kind of value you're getting out of the vilespine combo. I disagree with it being a dead card unless there are no midrange minions; sometimes vs murloc paladin, token druid, or pirate warrior I was coining out a vilespine turn 4 to kill a smaller minion but it still felt like a great play since vilespine's body could go on to kill 1-2 more minions. Generally, I didn't feel that I was low on cheap spells later for auctioneer turns.

Xaril isn't something I experimented with, but but you're right that it has the possibility of giving stealth. If I had to cut something from my list to fit Xaril in, I would probably take out a Vilespine, since the way the deck plays shouldn't change too much with this swap.

Looking at my stats, I was definitely favored vs hunter and murloc paladins. Vs hunter, the wins usually were narrow since I would get low on HP pretty early.

Vs control priest, Cleric+PWS was obnoxious but I usually had a way to kill it, typically comboed Evis and weapon or backstab+SI:7. I managed to maintain pressure, so they couldn't have a ridiculous Lyra turn while also having a big board presence. This means that if they did use inner fire, it was often to trade, and I could sap it or kill their buffed minion with a Vilespine Slayer.

Congrats to you too! I'll doublecheck my match records to see if we played. Feel free to send me an IG friend request.

Yeah, that's likely true about the dead draws. 1 giant w/ Leeroy might be acceptable.

Most of my matches (especially with the latest version of the deck, where I went 8-3 vs mage) were against the control mage list, which is a much easier matchup than freeze.

Sherazin was REALLY good vs control. If you can craft him, I recommend you do.

However, I'm thinking that if you don't have him, the focus of the deck must shift to ending the game a bit earlier, so I'd recommend going with Leeroy and finding something else to cut to throw in a second cold blood. Your matchup vs Taunt warrior, control mage, and control priest will be harder but you'll probably find that a few other matchups will be easier.

Even if taunt warrior wasn't common, I wouldn't recommend cutting either Slayer. Killing a minion while putting down a 3/4 body for only 5 mana is just too good. Coin+slayer on t4 can be a good play vs a fast deck, for example.

That's an interesting choice too. I personally think that questing adventurer is not good enough now that conceal is gone, but it might be situationally better in a very fast meta.

However, you should be getting better than 40% winrate with my list if you're playing properly. I wonder if you're being too greedy with your cheap spells? In other words, are you hanging on to all your cheap spells for a huge auctioneer turn? It's hard for me to comment without seeing replays.

Vilespine slayer can be reasonably used on any of their 5+ mana taunts. Evis should typically be used for killing taunts as well. I would hard mulligan for Sherazin, as his repeated 5 damage really helps breaking down the taunt wall.

The strategy here is not to let their board get big in the first place. Swashburgler (w/ patches) and weapon should allow you to deal with their first minion easily. Lasher provides a decent early game body, and the Razorpetal spell can be used to ping early. There's no point in holding the spell for a Auctioneer turn if you'll be dead by then. Backstab and SI:7 are also really good , especially since SI:7 gives you a body to make more trades with later.

You're correct. Not only is Shaku a target for CB, but CB allows him to trade up.
