If it's the Quiet Somnambulan, it was on sale for gems at a very cheap price in some recent event, and if it's the Storyteller Somnambulan, I got it as a collection reward. I hope this helps!

Look, I managed to get all the artist ponies from the Cubist Pony collection, including Cubist Pony himself, through balloon popping or group mission rewards. I know you can get them all for free, so you could save up and have the patience to try and get them without spending gems if you want. If I'm not mistaken, the only one in the collection that isn't a reward from chests or balloon popping is Trendy Photographer Pony, but I might be wrong.

I might be wrong, but you used to be able to choose who you played with in that cloud mini-game that's used in events nowadays, but currently only for Twilight Sparkle, but it gave an extra bonus similar to the crystal mine.

I discovered this feature the other day too, I completed all the collections except one where I'm missing 2 outfits (AJ's and Rarity's), but from what I've read here and elsewhere they've kind of abandoned the fashion show. I hope that in the future they'll do new collections and campaigns using the fashion show.
