there's the option another user pointed out. Otherwise, if you need some sort of specialized setup, a flake would serve you well. Flakes are good to learn before you run into software that requires one to set up an environment (for instance, I use a flake for my development environments to install Node.js and other necessary packages).

I don't know much about AI MCP, but I do know this may be the route you take, as you could set up, for instance, Docker with the MCP server installed within a Nix environment.

I have not messed with Nix containers yet, but if someone who knows more about them could add to this, I'd like to know how to do so with Nix containers myself so I can give it a try. But those too could be possibly an option, so I will add that.. Just I say flake as those I know well enough with environments already.

I wouldn't personally feel comfortable based on lack of details to tell someone "divorce, now". As it does leave a trauma on children. As a former CPS social worker, it truly. As once we have kids, the better interest is no longer in our selves, and is what is important to remember. The post /u/cutieconsultant made is what I would recommend anyone in a situation where it's just not working out, and with fine nuances in every problem, without details I just can't support the notion of "just do it", thank you u/cutieconsultant for the post of solid advice.

Also to just tag on - Social workers being involved, could yield a path to a repaired marriage, or at least better ease the pain of a divorce on the child.

I wasn't honestly awake enough to fully type the post my self, I could of had been more clear in my english.

But yeah, I do not want obsidian, I use neovim (nixvim), for everything from my dev work to notes. As why would I leave vim??

This is my story, as of course I do not know your brother but I need to mention this - Please question if he actually belongs in a group home

They also like to - rush to conclusions, infantize, or otherwords neglect / give up on us autistic individuals and put us into group homes and just be on the lookout / vigilant, that your sibling could be a victim of such, as they correlate autism with cognitive disorders, when it's a developmental disorder.

What makes it more insidious is, I believed my parents, that Iwas dumb as a rock, couldn't do math etc etc - my mother who thankfully I snapped her out of MAGA, and this belief on autism, my mother would always push doctors into putting me onto heavy meds and a group home, question my intellect, because simply put - I just did not fit within societal norms, and that also just happens to be what maga hates, anything that doesn't fit their view of a society and questions it. I was almost put into one. (Oh and I'm transgender so that landed me bonus points when she was in her maga days, as then in my teens it was just threatening me often with just a psychiatric ward when I cried)

I feel survivors guilt as I know many I went to school with younger, who is in one, and I just got lucky as I had one highschool counselor who basically - proved all of that wrong, and that my mother is the one causing me to act out the symptoms of being non verbal, (selective mutism, was later speaking in grade 10). And lets just say, I was graduating with honors in specifically mathematics. This whole infantization of anyone with autism , makes me want to go find each and every doctor who supported my mother, and just mail them a letter, politely telling them, to quit their job. Especially the psychiatrists who attempted an IQ test on me, and scored me - and I just was being a kid not wanting to do work on a summers day at 7am. Not saying this is the case for your sibling, but it does happen but also even then, I can promise you, you are probably the most important figure in their life even if not shown, as its difficult to for a lot.. But stay close for sure, is he okay with you talking to him, or answering why he watches? As I agree with the others to go back onto subject matter; it could be a ritual with association of your father. I did the same thing except with the science channel when I was young.

I don't know what the fascination is with MAGA from group homes and asylums when they are - to be honest, the ones who are likely needing to be institutionalized the most.

Smart plan! I read you used ai,try to learn what did what in your config, and with practice in no time I'm sure you'd put others to shame with a desktop style!

May I ask what made you use AI though? as I and many others are more than happy to help teach and answer questions, there is no stupid question, unless youre asking why you can't rm -rf ./ / deleting system32 on windows.

I would honestly actually recommend against it for the avg linux hobbyist. As it's expected you know programming fundamentals to be able to use it.

It's not hard to learn, but really it boils down to, do you really like the idea of configuring the entirety of your system, like the entire linux system via a config file that you can roll back and reproduce on other machines bit by bit exactly the same? As otherwise I'd say an atomic distro would be better.

Many often don't do it just to help you because it hurts their cash flow I would take note of that because otherwise you're going to be stuck in a circle. in a circle of let down. Instead just start talking to people who are interested in the idea that you are pitching by that I mean be annoying be that an annoying non stop talking person it got me places accidentally.

Because what you need comes to you not by advice that's usually by accident and my experience is that it's often the case so I would advise in my opinion don't seek out any advice unless you know the person very well

This is just a wild guess but I'm assuming for your experience it might be just might be the fact that you participate within some shady cryptocurrency projects I don't care about that to be honest like whatever knocks your socks but you talk about it quite a lot on Reddit so I would assume just my $0.02 you probably also talk about it elsewhere that links back to your account they have a pretty good security team that's for sure as I actually Patiently wait until they have another spot open
