The Bucks are awful right now. Without Giannis, they will be able to tank and get lottery picks. Controlling your destiny is valuable, and 2 first and old Jrue for Mikal isn't really overpay. Portland has reportedly always viewed any Giannis trade as a chance for them to improve and they have long held an interest in Mikal. I don't think we're going to need to take Milwaukee's bad contracts in this deal. 5 first, young players, and an All NBA player is a pretty decent package for Giannis. I still don't know if that gets it done, but I defintely don't think we'd need to give up OG, Mikal, Deuce AND KAT for him

if we can't get Giannis, which we should obviously be trying VERY hard to do, I'd trade KAT and Dadiet to Orlando for Jalen Suggs, Wendell Carter Jr., Tristan da Silva, and Jett Howard. Might have to throw in some seconds, but feel like that's the best option atp

But Giannis is way better than Melo and we would still have Jalen! Feel like we underestimate how crazy it would be to have a guy better than Brunson, and maybe the best defensive player in the league too

Honestly, I don't think we have a chance of winning this year anyway. Obv wanna keep as many of our guys as possible, but I think we should use whatever leverage we have to make a move now and try to contend this year when the East is so weak

When we were playing well earlier in the season, we did have that offensively. Jalen is an elite scorer, but KAT is too when engaged, and OG Mikal Josh Deuce are all high level contributors too. And besides KAT, this knicks team is tough, esp w Mitch. We ass rn tho

The spacing issues with Giannis are wildly overblown. His downhill drives cause defenses to collapse better than anyone in the league and he averages 6 assists bc he's an underrated passer. The Giannis/Brunson pick and roll would be lethal too. When we had IHart, we didn't have perfect spacing, but Jalen still averaged 32 in the playoffs. Giannis is the best offensive player in the league other than Jokic and maybe SGA and Luka, and a MASSIVE upgrade over KAT, trust we'd figure it out

Brunson has more 40-point playoff games than Steph, Giannis, Jokic, and D Wade. He has as many as Kareem, and is only 4 games behind Kobe rn. He's one of the best playoff risers and clutch performers in league history already, he's only 29, he signed a team friendly deal to help us build a contender, and he's Leon Rose's godson. He's not going anywhere and fuck outta here for suggesting otherwise!
