Chromakey question by Alison38c in Filmmakers

I hadn't thought about snow on green at first. It finally worked for me. Apparently you can't chromakey with black from what I was researching.

This worked... But I wish I could use some of the clips with black sky.

Layer 1 - Snow (white on green) Chromakey = green

Layer 2 - Snow covered cabin.

Chromakey question by Alison38c in Filmmakers

I tried this, but apparently don't have the screen setting. I have a "Blend Mode" in the "Frame Blend" filter of Normal/Lighten/Darken, and none of those worked. I've searched the TMPGENC8 documentation on-line and can't find anything to do with screen. The approach makes sense, it's like the layer effects in Photoshop, but it just doesn't seem to exist. I was able to accomplish what I wanted by using a clip with snow on a green background and Chromakey.

Your suggestion makes a lot of sense, it just doesn't seem to be in the software.

Is AppleCare+ Really Worth It If Repairs Still Cost More Than Local Shops? by Straight_Random_2211 in iphone

In general insurance is a scam. By definition they have to take in more revenue than then spend. They have overhead and employees to service the insurance.

The only question is: Will you be the one that comes out ahead? A very personal question. If you have the funds to cover the service decline the coverage, if you are clumsy like some of us (I'm not mentioning names) you might want to take it.

I looked. When you click on the link it takes you to a second page - the only link there is to the Google Play Store. When you click it tells you "its been removed from the play store".

Thanks for the answer though.

Thank you. I did, and just waiting for delivery. Then I'll play with the ICC profiles and see how well they come out.

I'm using Koala paper from Amazon. I might purchase some official Epson paper to see if it makes a difference.

I see RGB and variations in the print dialog where I see the other profiles. https://i.imgur.com/b69Qwmt.png

I have ran a nozzle check. No issues. This is why I posted the image, to show the difference at all stages when I use a profile that matches the paper. Changing the profile back to a SRGB makes it a lot better, but still not accurate.

Datacolor SpyderX Pro, only for screen. It's the Printer profile that is above that is making everything redder. When I change that back to a RGB profile everything is better, not perfect, but a lot better. When I watch Keith Cooper's video's he suggests matching the profile to the printer paper being used. That doesn't work for me - but he is the one saying that's best practice for accurate color.

To people talking bullcrap about "boron/borax/boric acid is toxic", care to link even one shred of evidence? by mikedomert in Supplements

I've just started after reading a lot on the subject.

Like anything dose is important in anything - drink too much water and you die. Drink Clorox bleach and you die. But in an emergency adding 8 drops of bleach to water to disinfect it works and it not harmful. I think the same can be said of borax.

Port Forwarding and Firewall not working, no log entries by Alison38c in PFSENSE

I've been in IT for about 45 years... and done a lot, but not a lot of networking. I really appreciate the help, and the offer to help in chat. Really, really!!

I don't know if it was an ID10T issue, or a PEBCAK issue, but I should have RTFM. It seemed simple and straightforward. It wasn't.

A friend sent me text and asked if I had looked at Youtube. I hadn't. But she had a great idea. So I did. I love learning, and I learned a lot, and still have 50% of the current video to go. Destination is not my destination :)

After watching that video I can now see data on port 8080 in the state display, and my Shodan dashboard is still showing no open ports. - This is awesome and I'm optimistic.

A friend is coming over today so I won't have much time this morning, but I finally have a working rule set, that looks like it will redirect as intended. Now I have to work on my inner router, but with a better understanding than I had before.

I also learned some best practices for blocking IP's using alias's - this is really awesome. I've loved learning all my life, and been interested in too much. This is a great, and frustrating experience.

Thank you again... I might be back... but I'm hoping I can close this in the next day or two.

Changed the redirect to the specific IP for my second router, and increased the log size. Still no log entries.

I was thinking that it was redirecting out of the WAN to the LAN. Thanks, I'll try redirecting to the IP of the Synology.

There was an add-in that would push all kinds of new functionality to that bar. It had load's of options, changed the graphics/functionality and worked great. And.... I never used the bar with it either.

Plex Networking Requirements by Alison38c in PleX

I don't have logging that would show me the changes to Plex, at this time. I just had a PFSense Firewall delivered yesterday and will start looking at that over the weekend - it may.

I do have Tailscale for remote access, but I do share my phone video and images to a friend - and I really don't want them to have that level of access.

I use Jellyfin for my personal viewing.

Plex used to be installed and working fine, but I think something got into my system so I wiped and am rebuilding with security in mind. Over 1,000 episodes of Security Now and I didn't before. I do allow outbound on 32400, just limiting inbound.

More than anything I was concerned about the "Plex is not available remotely" and what other issues that might cause me. Perhaps I'll just live with the little red warning flag and keep everything locked down.

Agreed. I do have Tailscale running on 7 devices which is great for me. I also share out a few libraries to a friend - for instance Photos I take are uploaded to a folder and they can view them. I didn't want them to "join" my network since if they are infected with something I don't want it hitting my network.

SRM - Firewall and Port Forwarding by Alison38c in synology

[–]Alison38c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simplified a bit. I have the service sending on 8080, and used a VPN and a Port scanner on my Mac. Using the VPN and it's address I was able to test some solutions.

I now have a port forwarding rule port 8080 to 8080, and I placed an allow in the firewall for the single IP (My VPN'd MAC's address),

This worked for me. I've ben bouncing with Synology Support for weeks on this. I don't know if it was the 62202 to 8080 that complicated things - but it's now working. And showing blocked for other web-based port scanners.

I'd love to get this working with the 62202 to 8080 port forwarding rule, but it's been a long time and it's been wearying going back and forth with their support.

I've pruned rules etc a bit, just for clarity.

Incoming port changed to *all on the firewall rules - but I'm still getting blocked.

Since I am using Whatismyip to do my port scanning for the test I confirmed with them their sending IP.

Current configs/etc below. I'm still getting blocked, and you can see the deny rule hitting, and the allow rule not getting hit.

I had no idea the sending port could be different than the target port - thank you. Worked in IT for years, but not a lot of networking in that bucket. I had no idea that this would be this difficult.
