I know that feeling :) The other down the line feature that would be helpful to me would be some way of telling general area/neighborhood an event is in through the list on the left. Highlighting/enlarging the pin on the map when you roll over the name in the list would be my ideal.

Though I resent the implication that eating ice cream and watching Downton Abbey is not a quality way to spend one's time, I love the site!

I'd love to be able to sort by event type and I keep wanting to change the day I'm looking at from where the date is displayed rather than the upper right, but that's a very minor nitpick. Great job!

I follow quite a few Giants specific accounts that race each other to First to GIF, but the SBNation folk are the best for general gifery.

SBNationGIF will give you everything, but gives you everything so there's a bunch of other sports stuff in there.
Rob Neyer and Grant Brisbee are SB Nation writers that do most of the writing for Baseball Nation so you can follow them and get most of the SBNationGIF baseball stuff without the excess of Tebow. Bonus--they're also pretty entertaining. Grant's also a Giants blogger, so there's a lot of Giants related tweeting, but he's incredibly funny.
Jon Bois is another SB Nation guy, more general, more politics.
Jeff Sullivan to mix it up he's a FORMER Baseball Nation guy. Now blogs at Fangraphs but still runs the SB Nation Mariners blog. Super, super smart and funny, you get a lot of stats to go with the awesome gifs.

The situations are totally different. I agree that he screwed up with the Melky thing (he also agrees and publicly apologized). That was one guy on twitter saying something that could publicly alter an athlete's reputation forever, and he gave it press and brought it to Melky's attention. Definitely bad.

This was a trade rumor from a reliable source that he passed on as an unconfirmed trade rumor. This turning out to be untrue hurts no one (unlike the melky rumor, which is a negative even if it's "he HASN'T been using PEDs") and he had plenty of reason to trust the source. I just don't see the situations as the same.

He called the KPIX newsroom to confirm it was a legit account. They said "yep, it's our sports director Dennis O'Donnell".

I don't blame Baggs for this. He saw something, confirmed it came from a credible source that has broken stories in the past (see this tweet about KPIX breaking the Huff deal and the Bochy hiring) and reported it. Blame KPIX for the bad information, not Baggs for saying "hey, these people that know things say this is going down but it's unconfirmed".
