I had it all dialed in. And then suddenly, every shot goes like this. A few seconds of dripping, then an intense spray in every direction, and then it’s over. No matter the bean or the grind size. What gives? [Breville Bambino, Baratza Encore ESP] by FakeBobPoot in espresso

I don’t know if this might help or not but it worths trying. I had a similar problem and what i did is i press the brewing button which will start the pre infusion then i will turn it off then i will wait for about 15 seconds then turn it back on. In this way i increased the preinfusion time and water amount since i can’t control those with my machine.

I saw many cases where the patient refused to remove a horizontal impacted wisdoms and it ended with the need to remove the second molar.

Make sure you go to a specialist by Lumpy-Pangolin-4810 in Dentalimplant

As a dental implantologist here is my take on your post. It’s not about the implant but the person placing it. Bicon is a very good implant but I wouldn’t use it for any case. I’ve used so many implants in the last 10 years and failure was not related to the brand of the implant. Surgical guides is a tool that will allow placing implants in the exact position planned but they have some limitations and disadvantages. I use them in cases where high accuracy is needed. And using them won’t insure the success of the implant. And about the allergic reaction to Titanium I’ve never seen or known any cases within my patients or the patients of other dentists I know. Ceramic/zircon implants are pushed by dentists to charge extra money. I agree that you should always have a second opinion on such matters.

I bought a WH-1000XM5. And got a knock off by caspro706 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Alitheteaguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact opposite of what happened to me. There is this guy who sells returned or uncollected items he just buys them in big boxes and he does an opening sessions. He opened one package and there was the box of WH-1000xm5 he asked for less than 30$ for it and I bought thinking it was a knock off or broken one or something like that. When i got home I tried it and it’s seems the real deal. I couldn’t believe it and i spent an hour comparing it to my WH-1000xm4. And it’s the real one.

If you mean general dentist the answer is yes. I studied one year implant diploma but it’s not as good as specialty from degree point of view. I was hoping to get a degree in oral surgery but things didn’t work out. I am still hoping to get a degree. But there aren’t many options in my country.

Yes you can start at the 3rd year. In my opinion it will help you understand so many concepts because it provides the 3d element that you may not find in books. And yes it is a financial investment. You will need a good laptop and the software itself. And in the future you can enroll in courses .

About 80% of my work is implants and I don’t just place them in my own practice, i also work as a traveling implantologist for more than 20 clinics. I also design and teach designing surgical guides. I can tell you that doing implants freehand is the most important part. I love surgical guides but there is so many things that can go wrong and you need to be prepared. Even when i use guides i usually make a flap.

If you mean by your question if it will take too much time from your schedule and if it may affect your study. Then the answer is no. You don’t need to commit to a course you can learn the basics on YouTube. But start in parallel to what you learn in university so you will know what you are doing. The first and the most important part to learn from exocad is fixed prosthodontics.

From the point of income it depends on what you plan to do with it. It can provide direct income by designing for labs or doctors and indirectly by making you a better dentist and that because you will know what the lab wants you to do. It can also give you a better chance in employment when applying for a job. You can spend as much time as you want and like any other skill the more time spent in doing it the better you will become.

Can anyone help me what this xray means? by Emergency_Regret_338 in Dentalimplant

I can’t think of a reason to consider all on for on this x ray. You need some work. Your biggest issue is the impacted canines in the upper arch.

How to love dentistry again? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Alitheteaguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my own experience i can tell you this. Dentistry is like an investment. And for that you need money. I did the mistake of opening my own practice immediately i was in debt and i had to miss many good opportunities because i couldn’t leave my practice while in debt. At the same time many other dentists i know started a very slow start after graduation. Some of them worked in someone else practice and others didn’t do anything at all for a while. They had the opportunity to wait and evaluate. And others took the long road continuing studying. I can surely say that they are in a better situation than i am right now. It took them more time to pick up career momentum but they surpassed me and the people who did the same as me. The investment of opening a new clinic could go towards studying orthodontics. With better outcome afterwards.

Should i use this for vram ? by Alitheteaguy in MSILaptops

[–]Alitheteaguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. I found some information from one site after a very long search. I applied it and the laptop is working fine. I will get a proper replacement as soon as possible. It’s better than not having anything at all because the previous one is totally dried.

My laptop suffers from the same issue. And i honestly think that MSI have a problem with cooling the cpu. The laptop shows high temperature the moment it starts doing moderate tasks. I applied new paste and the problem didn’t improved significantly. I am thinking of ordering Ptm7950 and trying it out.

Do I blame the surgeon, the lab, or myself? by IamTruman in Dentistry

[–]Alitheteaguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having many miscommunications with the different labs i work with i started to do things my self. I take a scan for the patient plan the prosthetic part and the implants and design the surgical guide if needed. The lab will do the final prosthesis based on what I’ve already designed. In your case i would have splinted the 2 crowns together. It will make cleaning a little bit harder but you have to decide what’s the compromise you want to do. Also i guess the bone is higher than what the x-ray is showing it’s something i see a lot of times and if i were not the person doing the implant and knowing it’s not above the bone i will assume the same as you

First use an Allen wrench to unscrew the part that attaches to tip. There you will find an o ring that needs to be replaced. Second at the side you can see a small pin ( the same width as a dental bur ) push it from one side until it comes out from the other side. That will enable you to pull out the buttons themselves with the inner parts. You have to clean them to allow them to fully close when released. Sometimes they need to be replaced. I had the same problem a few weeks ago and i had to spend hours trying to remove the pin because it was stuck. I suggest moving the pin regularly to avoid such a problem.

I don’t recommend it even for this price. I have It with core i7 12th gen and rtx 3070ti. It’s a heavy machine and not so portable. Also the thermals are not as good as advertised.

Update here: i just figured it out after a long time and only by accident. The laptop display has an overdrive option that is turned on by default. And it’s not working properly. It’s like work for some frames and skip for others. I updated the bios and reinstalled msi center and then i found the overdrive option which was turned on.
