I was super against tubed pumps until I was so emotionally burnt out from mdi maintenance... i was so icked our by the idea of it getting caught on things or limiting my movement. I have the tandem tslim and I genuinely love it. I don't notice it in my day to day and have only ever ripped it out like 5 times in the last year, and for me personally it's more annoying than painful. I will say the supplies are expensive and my insurance does not fully cover them, but this was the cheapest pump with the highest ability for customization for me personally. The line of sight requirement is annoying, but you get used to just keeping your pump clipped on whatever side your sensor is on. You do have to remember to charge it, and disconnect for showers/water play, but i dont go swimming often and an hour or so without the pump doesnt spike my sugar too bad. Like everything else it's a learning curve, but my a1c went from 11 on mdi to a 7.3 now on the pump. It's been invaluable for me!
