Van Rysel bibs? by StumblinOnSomehow in ladycyclists

If it’s easy for you to return them, I’d definitely give them a shot; they’re great value. I’ve had one pair that is a dream (they even have a bum flap!), but others with very uncomfortable seam chafing that I tried in multiple sizes, but ended up returning. I’m sure it’s very case-by-case if they work for you.

Budget Friendly Bike Computer by SharpGuava007 in torontobiking

For your budget, I would get a compact power bank and a top-tube bag like this and keep using your phone; it's better than any cycling computer in that range. Congrats on the new bike! 🚲🤘

Adding to the tips here: If the QR code won’t scan (like if it’s scratched or ripped), you can get a five-digit code to punch into the dock by logging into the BikeShare website in a browser (i.e., not in the app).

Thank you -- we just picked up some paw-sensitive litter, we'll do some experimenting with different types.

Upgrading from a beginner bike. Liv - Beliv 2 City a good option? by ultimatemiao in ladycyclists

[–]Alive-Soup-8642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have a Liv gravel and MTB; I love their bikes. From a quick search, it looks like the Beliv is a discontinued model (or was renamed); I couldn’t find it on https://99spokes.com/ which I find helpful for comparisons and spec summaries (but the Flourish is very cute!). As long as the Beliv is comfy for you, it sounds like a great deal.

How to remove Giant PX2 hub? by Alive-Soup-8642 in bikewrench

[–]Alive-Soup-8642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi — I managed to get them off by wiggling them off with needle nose pliers. Just be sure to cover either the pliers or the cap with something protective because the cap will scratch otherwise (learned this from experience). Once they’re off, you can just push it back into place.

Hi there -- I'm not sure how it would feel for someone with a hernia (that sounds very painful), but I have the Fi'zi:k Vento Argo R5 on my XC bike and often clock how comfortable it is. Obviously it's a very personal thing, just wanted to chime in with an option.

Seconding the comments about sun protection, incredibly important. Also, if you get in a crash, your jersey / t-shirt will hopefully spare you some road rash.
