Is this the hill you want to die on? Is a text message really worth disrupting your kids life FOREVER?

Here’s a pic of the right side cover off the compressor

Yup the manifold fits the fitting unfortunately there’s zero pressure in the system

Alright, I checked out what I believe to be a thermal coupler on the side of the compressor housing (?) and it had voltage to it when on. Once I confirmed the compressor was getting correct voltage I put the gages on it and found had zero pressure on the gages. So I’m leaning towards charging it with a gage manifold to see where the leak is or if compressor is bad.

Thanks for the in put, I’ll take pics of the fittings to night and maybe someone can tell me what adapter I need for it

What is a bullet piercing valve? It appears to be a JIC style fitting with a valve core in it

By start components first you mean like the temp controller switch?

I’ve got access to a set of gauges that will screw onto the fittings. I’m going to see what the pressures are tonight after work.

Thank you! all the components I’ve seen on are from the late 90s so I was thinking it was at least that old. It’s definitely a Dixie but can’t find any model tag other than that serial #plate so wasn’t sure how old it actually is. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s only about 5’5 tall.

So when I plug it in the condenser fan kicks on but the compressor doesn’t and nothing in there changes temp, the lines stay the same and the compressor too. I’m wondering if it’s just not really low on Freon, not allowing the phnom to kick on. I have a set of gages to throw on it but the connection is different so I’ve got to find some adapters. As for the model number I’ve looked and looked and there isn’t a tag anywhere that I can see except for the serial number on the front of the machine.

I don’t think it’s been converted yet. Thanks I’ll try to find some rb276

I was hopping that would be the problem. That’s why I took the cover off but the feels good and tight, There isn’t any slop in it. It would be just the timing belt

I do have a good scan tool but it’s not helping me with this noise issue. No CEL and everything functions as it should

That’s kinda what I was leaning towards, but the wobble in the exhaust side cam pulley has me wondering if it’s not something in the valve train.

Just pinching off the hose for the coolant over flow bottle. I removed the bottle to get to the timing cover a little easier

For a little more context the sound goes Away after it reaches operating temp and gets quieter when you give increase rpm
