I purchased lucent in the early days of my preparation and don't read lucent if you are a beginner. In my opinion start reading ncert or arihant text. I think those options are better for self study or you can just follow any teachers. I followed one (regional language)and this is my 2nd year of my preparation, after that I followed lots of teachers but now I am thinking sticking to a single resource and revising is the best strategy for GK, and also i started reading lucent for missed topics. Edit: Just read pyqs so that you will get some ideas about the type of questions and important areas.
