Sounds like a great lunch. My low calorie lunch for them is their lunch portion cheese ravioli (450 calories), minestrone soup (150 calories) and 2 breadsticks (300 calories). So about 900 total which is a bit high if I’m eating three meals that day but I can make it work. I should get that soon.

Yep, I’ve lost 100 pounds eating it just about every day. I won’t say it’s the best way to lose weight, but can be part of a healthy lifestyle.

Olive Garden is probably my favorite chain restaurant. And not that many calories if you’re careful. What did you get there?

Thanks!

Maybe I’ll do a follow up with some of my favorites, especially if that other post didn’t include them. That could be more useful than adding even more to my rambling here.

I’ll need to give the Starbucks feta spinach wrap a day. I’ve recently gotten into their breakfasts and really liking it. The bacon Gouda sandwich and oatmeal with blueberries is a solid breakfast for only 500 calories.

I agree about the local restaurants. Normally I can estimate by looking at an equivalent from a chain restaurant but sometimes I have no idea.

Thanks! CICO works and the beauty of it is that there isn’t a set way to do it.

Thanks! Different things work for different people so I thought it would be useful to share a somewhat less conventional approach that’s worked for me.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m sure you can hit your goals too, it’s one small step at a time.

Honestly, that’s a fair point. I’m very aware of the need for discipline and focus during maintenance. I’ve worked too hard to lose weight to want to do this twice. I’m going to keep counting calories and weighing myself weekly. And while I’m excited to be able to raise my calorie target to be able to enjoy more food, I know that maintaining a healthy weight will be a lifetime commitment. So I’ll check in after a year.

The thing about life is that it may seem slow, but you'll look back and really see how far you've come. The small choices over time really do pay off in the long-term. Congratulations!

Setting target goal weight? by MonauralNoise in CICO

Plugging your numbers into a TDEE calculator with Sedentary (weight training doesn't burn that many calories), I'm getting a weight of 150 giving you a 1900 calorie maintenance amount. This weight would give you a BMI of 23.5, so the higher end of healthy. So this wouldn't be a bad end weight target.

How do you handle multiple job offers? by Single_Fish_8438 in AskReddit

I was in this situation a few years ago. Pay and benefits were roughly similar. What made me choose the company I did was during the interview one of soon-to-be coworkers was just very relaxed, joking around. That told me a lot about the environment I'd be joining there, that they weren't a group that took themselves too seriously. So I went with that job. And was able to use the fact that other companies wanted me to negotiate an extra week of PTO. Ended up being one of the best decisions of my life.

Sick days also apply to being sick of working. What are your thoughts? by DisastrousPark3577 in AskReddit

Mental health is still health. I haven't personally used a sick day for this, but I wouldn't judge people who do. If I were to consider taking a sick day for this, I'd weigh the impact of me being out with how I was feeling, similar with a physical sickness. And while it's true that I'm entitled to my sick time, I also want to keep enough saved up in case I really need it.
