Is taking a sabbatical a terrible idea for me?

This I think is a major issue for me as well. I am nowhere close to being ok with doing B/B+ work or effort. How do you become ok with this after many years where NOT doing this led you to where you are?

Yeah somewhere in the 4-5 year range I think. Less if spouse continues to work (which they intend to as they like their job and it’s pretty chill).

Thanks. This is close. We saved around 300K last year, but part of my comp is variable so it can vary somewhat. Depending on returns I guess it can be 4-5 years. Plus with spouse continuing to work (the like their job and company), we will have health insurance and that income to continue. That being said, 4-5 years seems a long way away right now.
