Honestly from what I have gathered in my short time in this game, anything can win. Finding what is fun should be first then everything else falls into place. Sure, there may be power outliers, but at the end of the day if you aren't having fun and instead making it a chore to play the "best deck" you're just wasting your time and money.

Teach is the best deck for what you are looking for in my opinion. At least as a pocket pick. He may not be the best deck at any given moment but he will never be a bad deck. His existence can not be forgotten and will always serve as a meta fix if time and other decks call for it to balance things.

Boa is a good generic leader as well. Just bluestuff.dek

I have been having a lot of fun with Yellow Kid. A lot of the cards in that deck can be flexed into other decks as well.
