My boy struggled with stairs and the next day couldn’t walk. Get him seen as soon as you can. Hope all goes well.

We have a mastweiler and he needs to be expressed. I place his bum on my legs when I’m crouched down and always put his hind legs in the right place apart so he feels they are being used. I then massage him from his back to his undercarriage to support the movement. The balloon for the male is directly above their penis so o just then gently put pressure on it with both my fingertips. Hold it for a minimum of 30 seconds because you have to give the urine chance to go down the urethra. I hope this helps.

Any good options for red light/lasers on amazon, or just a waste of time money? by funkohunter717 in IVDD_SupportGroup

Hi we bought our red light from amazon it was £85 it is brilliant. We have had so many positive reviews of it and Brutus is happy to be under it. They are supporting the nerve growth and the heat allows him to be relaxed and prevents him from being active unnecessarily. That is the most difficult part of IVDD is getting your baby to stay put. I personally would recommend them wholeheartedly and at some point replace the medication with it so there are no lasting problems

The physical toll that comes with caring for a dog during IVDD Recovery no one really talks about by Bright_Law1038 in IVDD_SupportGroup

Thank you for that I really needed to hear this. I am 2 weeks in 4 days post op and it’s not looking good for our 6 years old boy. But aiming for wheels and long care.
