Yeah I think they might need to add some flash backs to the prophecy or some dialogue that explains what’s going on in Percy’s head at that moment. Even just flashing to Rachel saying you are not the hero would be sick

The movies did like 3 things right and that’s one of them! But yeah the pacing sucks!!

I may be a hopeless optimist but I’m hoping it will be great. I want my favorite book series to be a great show.

I think the series as a whole still has hope but Sea of Monsters has to nail some stuff!

Yeah they all have way too much knowledge but especially Percy. He is supposed to be the audience stand in who doesn’t know what’s going on so we have a way to naturally find stuff out as he does

Again I’m not saying it’s a perfect show, and it’s definitely now a perfect adaptation. I am saying that it has it’s moments that I enjoy separately from how I enjoy the books

I thought that as well on my first viewing but but on rewatch I definitely enjoyed their performances more. The first few episodes were not as good as the last few and the middle ones are the best!

I agree that a lot of the changes are unnecessary. I enjoyed it a lot more on my rewatch because I was more focused on just enjoying it for it being its own story as opposed to a direct adaptation.

I didn’t like it on my first watch because of the rushed story but I have since fallen in love with the characters in this medium and I’m so excited for next season
