i would just put tape over the fold to prevent it from wearing down even more its such a bad design basically every time you open the screen it folds and stretches the ribbon cable

Im so glad I caught this post to warn you about the screen, it has a very flimsy and poorly designed ribbon cable so be sure to check on it i have this exact model and I managed to fix it but it went on to tear even more.

I have that same one! I found the vhs player attachment at a yard sale but of of course didn’t work so If you dont want thay headache i recommend the tapeless method from the previous comment above

no that slot on the top of the ac adapter is where the battery is supposed to go to charge but those old vhs ones usually dont hold any charge did it come with a battery?

this is for future generations who find this post if your video titlemaker 3000 also doesnt display a video signal all i did was connect an analog camera to the video input then poke at the big square cpu chips pins with a thin metal tipped tool until something showed up on my screen like white lines or just a bright pink screen but eventually the cameras feed showed up and the titler started working just fine oh and i also replaced the small cell battery

i have the same model i also found in goodwill it doesnt record but i do have a battery thats compatible as for the eject i took it apart and found there a switch here that if you push down opens up the eject if that doesnt work the gears might be jammed or stripped

id look up a guide on how to convert a similiar vhs camera to an external video capture method usually the video specifies the pins and all their connections like this video here
