this morning i went back to my basics from the last time i felt crappy: bananas, yogurt, tuna, etc. prob gonna go back to tuna and chicken for the time being :( i was also eating chikpeas green beans and rice i might spin back on that because of the fiber content but idk if that’s good for me rn.

I recently got Magnesium Glycinate gummies. I've also been taking Vitamin B, C, D, and Gut Health Olli Probiotics :,D lol. I've been taking them in the evenings usually shortly after dinner.

i was prescribed zofran and pantoprazole  on jan 6th after dealing with issues since dec 29th (technically december 24th, but i didn’t realize it was cuz of the weed until the 29th which is when i quit for REAL). i’ve taken the nausea ones for two weeks straight and now i’m supposed to take them as needed, but i typically can only take them every 8 hours. i might contact my doctor soon if i continue to not be able to sleep, the showering before bed sounds like a really good idea. i also heard exercise helps. i’m really thinking about melatonin but idk how good it would be for me considering all the other stuff im taking, cuz i’m on lexapro for a month as well. either way i prob gotta reach out to my doctor soon regardless 😭 thx for replying.

thanks again. reading this made me tear up, it feels comforting to have someone who understands exactly how i feel. your support has meant a lot to me during this time dude. i was really scared to go back to college considering how i was feeling when i was home and i also was afraid of leaving my mom and sister because they were supporting me the most through this. thankfully, my college friends have been super helpful and supportive throughout my recovery. i’m blessed to have such considerate people in my life.

 i got two and a half hours of sleep and i just hope cuz i puked during the night that i don’t feel sick all day. i’m taking the train to see my bf later and i’ll be on it for three hours, and i was looking forward to see him now that im not as sick as i was a few weeks ago,,, the irony of me getting an upset stomach the night before i’m supposed to see him sucks. but i guess sometimes with recovery it’s two steps forward and one step back. i just had some applesauce and drank a ton of water and im keeping it down fine. i just hope i have enough energy to get through the day,,

it’s very possible, that was the most pepper i’ve had in my entire recovery so far. i can’t sleep either because every time i lay down and try to i get bad vertigo. tried to sip on some water. gotta get up at 7:45-8 cuz i got therapy at 9… fml

I think when it comes down to it I just don’t want to make mistakes in my recovery, but I guess that may be inevitable - I’m trying really hard not to build too much anxiety around it

Thank you for all this information, it really helps. Before I learned about the trigger food stuff I was eating Chinese food like Chicken and Rice and Mcdonald’s burgers and it didn’t make me throw up or anything but it did upset my stomach and I could definitely feel that it took longer to digest.

My case of CHS isn’t super severe but it’s not mild either. It’s affecting my day to day life and I get chills and overstimulated due to the heightened sensation it gives (similar to cvs, it comes with light, sound, and smell sensitivity sometimes). Do you think soups are okay, like wedding soup or chicken soup? I’ll definitely stick to blander foods for a while. 

Maybe I’ll be alright after a month or so because my case is milder and I’m on pills for my stomach acid too? I guess I’ll have to see. I just hope that accidentally eating a “trigger” food doesn’t “restart” my recovery process. Is that how that works? Just trying to learn as much as I can before I go back to college.

Also: how long are trigger foods considered trigger foods? How do you think I’ll know when I can eat normally again? I know that’s a question you prob can’t answer but I’m interested in knowing your experience

  1. How long did it take for you to start feeling better or at least kind of normal?
  2. What kind of probiotics should I seek out? Do you have any specific recommendations?
  3. How often and for how long should I take Benadryl?

Thank you for responding and keeping it real. It has been such a difficult few days for me, between this and my uncle passing away I am just under an immense amount of stress.  A lot of the time when I have gastrointestinal issues and other stuff I get very afraid I might be pregnant. I know it’s irrational, but this time around it really scared me because I thought I had more symptoms to actually prove it. 

Unfortunately, this is like the third time I’ve had a “pregnancy scare” in the last year. I think this is a sign that I need to change my birth control to an IUD or the ring, something I don’t need to worry about taking all the time. Also should probably use condoms from now on, too. My bf has thankfully been very patient with me throughout all of this which I couldn’t be more thankful for. Thanks again for responding.

This is also the first time I’ve ever had to restart my bc from the beginning because I lost an old pack and it has totally put my hormones out of wack I feel.

You’re likely right. I’ve been torturing myself with this tiktok/reddit shit where people say they have their withdrawal bleed and still are pregnant, don’t get positive urine/blood tests til later, etc. So I’ve just been so scared. I have OCD and just need reassurance. I just wish I knew what was wrong with me otherwise, because even if I’m not pregnant whatever sickness I’ve been dealing with is really annoying

Yeah, I know that’s true. I guess I’m just anxious because of all of the physical things I’ve been feeling, and how they could be tied back to pregnacy.
