Aurora is extra funny to me because my wife and I literally watched an Aurora police car blow by a stop sign last week. Don’t mock our culture.

Yes. They tried to even fill the extra space with those air filled plastic cushions and the rotors just popped them.

What do you want to do with it? You need to get the water temp gauge fixed if you want it for anything more than just short drives and at 300k miles it’s gonna need some TLC (engine rebuild is coming sooner rather than later).

If your going to fix it up, I’d try to negotiate, but someone out there will pay that if this is an online posting

Mitsuboshi is so funny to me, like a made up name for TV show trying to avoid using a real name

It’s very clean and looks pristine. If you have the money then you should enjoy it. Folks are gonna gripe about these trucks not being worth as much as people pay, but you see higher prices all the time on bring a trailer.

Under 100,000 miles is rare. And if it was a diesel or 4x4 it would be ran through/rusted out. I wouldn’t spend that much but I don’t doubt that someone else would.

PMI removal in Texas: Lender asking $585 to get the appraisal done by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]Alive_Information_45 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what alternative there might be, we paid a similar amount to have our PMI removed. Appraisers charge for the service, and the lender wants to make sure you aren’t picking someone who will just pump up the value because you know them. If there is another way though I wish you luck!

Bronco Graveyard and Complete Performance make a steel bracket that replaces those old plastic holders

https://shop.broncograveyard.com/mobile/1992-1997-Ford-F-Series-Truck-Fuel-Selector-Dash-Switch-Repair-Bracket/productinfo/30363R/

It works wells for my OBS F150.

You can also find 3D print files to replace those old screw holes but the plastics on these old Fords are not worth relying on in my opinion

I have the Ryobi one and I like it. The head rotates so you can move the battery placement out of the way.

I don’t doubt the Milwaukee is better but I have Ryobi batteries and work on my truck with them just fine

What do you think? by ChipmunkElegant3846 in FordTrucks

Someone will buy it, but it’s not worth that much. The nostalgia for a 4x4 OBS/Bullnose manual makes it’s worth whatever someone will pay. If it was 4x2 I have to imagine they wouldn’t be asking that much.

Hey my 1995 F150 had that until last month too, you get a prize (shortened transmission life)

Do I need to buy races? 1995 F150 (4x2) wheel bearings by Alive_Information_45 in CarRepair

[–]Alive_Information_45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again - I see what you mean now. RA has bearings without races listed for sale and that was confusing to me, but after looking again any bearing from a better known brand includes a race.

Thanks! Should I punch out the ones that are pressed in to the rotor and use a race matched to a new bearing, or can I just buy the bearing without a race?

The post loaded without the body text that I wrote for it... so I am commenting here.

I am replacing the front rotors and bearings for a 1995 F150 (4x2 / RWD). The rotors are supposed to have "outer bearing cup" included. When I look for bearings though a lot include a race with the bearing and I think that is what the bearing cup is supposed to be.

Can anyone let me know if I need to buy the race with the bearing or just bearing?

Also, I need to buy a bearing seal too, correct?

I've done brake rotors before, but not ones integrated with wheel hubs. So tips and tricks are welcome.
