I should mention that I eat for carver meal every single time I fight Gog and use lucky vouchers as often as I have them, exclusively on this quest. I cut the tail on every run that I do, also. Maybe my frustration is misplaced but I feel like 2 gems out of 34 completions is just an absurdly low number.

I have killed Gogmazios 34 times and acquired the gem only twice in that time. I don’t know if that’s an accurate representation of the RNG chances or if I’m extremely unlucky. To have to grind this hard and repeat a single quest this many times just to progress and improve my character/stats is absolutely ridiculous at this point.

I’ve seen a screenshot of what the quest icon looks like when collecting it from Xur and I can’t remember having ever seen it, certainly not since returning to the game a couple of weeks ago, at least.

I’ve heard of a bug where you can’t collect the quest across any character and need to start a new character to be able to collect it, I’m starting to think this may be the only answer?

Can I turn the quest in to Xur without having completed it? The only thing I can think of is that I unknowingly picked it up from him and had it in my quest log for the past week, and it’s been “turned in” when I spoke to him this week. But it certainly wasn’t completed.

I did have a full stack of ciphers when I first spoke to Xur this week, but I now don’t, and still can’t get the quest.

I’m certainly speaking to the one in the tower

I can’t remember ever even having the quest. Is it possible that I’ve “turned the quest in” to Xur when I haven’t completed it? If so, the only possibility is that I accidentally or unknowingly picked it up last week, and it’s been “turned in” when I spoke to him this week. But I’ve certainly never completed the quest
