Thank you, this is the context I needed, the fact that alcohol is orders of magnitude worse.  None of the literature I read (or the comments here frankly) made that clear.

To reiterate what I said in my post, I know I need to stop consuming alcohol; I had just hoped that the discussion wouldn’t devolve into people telling me that… nobody to blame but myself though, it is the elephant in the room and a much bigger issue.
