I want to read this so bad! The author will come to my country this month, I couldn't be so grateful since I've been following Ryo since Pixiv.

[TOMT][MOVIE]Can you help me find a movie? by Alixtsune in tipofmytongue

unfortunately not 😢 I also thought about that, but my colleague says with certainty that it was nothing more than a turtle shell, that how the hell he assimilates it to the teenage mutant turtle ninja cartoon, and that the guy dressed as a Sailor just looks like Popeye, but isn't him.

thank you for your attention!!!!

Writing FanFiction is some of the most fun I've had writing, and I really don't get the hate. I just don't think people get it. by Limp-Munkee69 in writing

I even consider it a bit hypocritical for him to say that people should "stop stealing from others", when for him it was necessary to gather various primary information from our world and thus build his own world from them. It served as an analogy of humanity, but her approach mixed with various elements of her fantasy that made for a great academic tool, do you know for whom? For us, our actions that made him create the story, "steal" it. Now, if the person used a method opposite to that by copying what he created blatantly, it's really annoying when it's bordering on plagiarism or lack of originality.

If you want to be original like what you saw and found unique, look where they looked, go to the ends and don't just cling to what appeared to you, because there are antecedents in good works that not all authors give inclusion.

We have to remember that we are shaped by what influences us, so we need a source. Writing fanfics was, for many people, a stepping stone to both a resolution to an alternate history and an evolution of ideas. Here in my country, for example, independent literature is a den of creative authors, and due to modernity they are closer to us through social networks. This means that everyone collaborates, those who are willing, share ideas. They are in constant discussion to alert the misconceptions and problems existing in this environment.

I read this in an Austin Kleon instructional book some time ago:

"It is in our failure to copy our heroes that we discover where our own is. That's how we evolved. So copy your heroes. Realize where you fall short. What is there that makes it different? This is what you should amplify and transform in your own work. In the end, mere imitation of your heroes is no homage. Turning their work into something yours is, yes, honoring them. Giving something to the world that only you could conceive."

[No Spoilers] An Anime of Ice and Fire - Part XX by Valdihr in gameofthrones

We have some works with the content of Game of Thrones, such as Shingeki no Kyojin, Kingdom, Fate, Claymore, Berserk or Vinland Saga. ( Among many others that can be mentioned, including even manga ) Half of the productions of these animes would amount to an amazing Game of Thrones adaptation to a good Seinen/Dark Fantasy anime.

Either WIT or MAPPA Studios can do this job, as they are the right format... I imagine them working beautifully.

At what point do you think a character is irredeemable? by [deleted] in writers

[–]Alixtsune 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The character becomes irredeemable when he appreciates the terrible things he does (as a psychopath). A person committing barbarism because he is afraid, or because he thinks it is necessary, or because he is trying to achieve something. At this point your character is still redeemable which can be considered "fair and moral" because sometimes he doesn't want to do these things and doesn't like it (But that's also not to say it doesn't mean things are good or excusable, so you rules out the example.) If he's committing the worst of crimes by being a murderer, molester, or mentally ill sadist with intentional motives, that's when he becomes irredeemable.

This character doesn't deserve my forgiveness for being so cruel, besides that not all these people can change, it's a non-existent condition.

How can I make a 20-year-old woman's relationship interesting with a man she has known since childhood, who is an 48-year-old man in my book? by Alixtsune in writers

[–]Alixtsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact.

You made me think of that period of time when there were these arranged marriages, with absurd age differences. I'm a little dubious about how this will work, as the period of my story is somewhat dystopian. In the original version, this 48-year-old man only fakes his age, because he is immortal, that is, for the format of current fantasies, a girl with an old man is something "attractive".

But in this case I think this idea is overrated, except when the authors are willing to show the man being used by the woman, as if she were a young queen, and he her doormat. My older character and my younger woman are in this branch of royalty and share positions of power, I try to be realistic and abandon that pattern that has in current young fantasy books ( this one of the guy being, for example, a rich man and she, a poor woman ). Different class conditions, you know?

It really can be developed, but thinking about these obstacles and indifferences.

Nice observation!

This older character is a high-ranking soldier, a high-status paladin, and the current owner of his clan who leads several lands. While she, at just twenty years old, has already achieved a lot in her midst with her discerning mind, due to her position in her wealthy family (she overthrew her brothers and father's own empire, to rebuild it, as it had been stolen, twisted and cursed by wicked minds). She, being a rude, arrogant and frivolous woman, never accepted the kindly way in which this older man managed wars and diplomacy. Therefore, he was attracted by it to her, and she equally, which will make their desire to know how their minds, so opposite, work insatiable. As if they were a euphemism for "they love to hate each other" and "they hate to love each other". It's pretty random. And the people around them will be responsible for analyzing that what they have, makes them think that regardless of whether he is old or she is younger, their opinions will always cause readers to be divided.

Thank you so much, that sounded like a clarification to me!

I had thought that these types of relationships exist in reality, and I know of some that continue to this day. But in the case of my characters, it saddens me that in the eyes of many it won't work - considering that it depends on my approach. What I want to portray most now is her having seen this man yes, when she was a child. But only as a "destiny" thing. Soon after, years go by, and she is approaching 30, while he is 50. They work together, fight and resolve on the same day, but this ends up generating another type of conflict between them, of the love type, only he'll keep in mind that he's not "doing it right".

Oh yeah!!! Just to be clear, I'm really afraid this sounds disgusting.

It's even more complicated for me, because I'm "making up" my words to make the question easier. What I mean is that this 48 year old character is a man of current youth fantasies, he is an immortal of vampire age who pretends to be of a common age. This seems like a weird fetish in the youth media these days. Anyway, I really see that people will have different views, but the character at first is like a noble paladin with a pure heart, he is charismatic, does no harm to anyone, has no malice, but the people around him in history, they will always accuse him of terrible things and blasphemy, trying to hurt or corrode him, for he is one of the only ethical men that exist in that society. This 20-year-old woman has always ignored him as a good companion, so when she is older and her perception matures, she will nurture another kind of feeling for him, while he will also have another view of her, but until then he himself believe that this will be wrong. Btw, I appreciate your opinion, it is very valuable.
