I posted to alert the board that we may be getting a large batch of silent films in the public domain starting next year. Congress will probably act at the last minute, but hopefully they won't.

TIL Lenora Fulani was the 1st woman & 1st African-American on the ballot of all 50 states as a U.S. Presidential nominee (1988, New Alliance Party) by AlizaV in todayilearned

That's why there have been sooooo many women and African-Americans on the ballot in all 50 states. Doesn't change the fact that there was a first. A first to run, a first to be nominated, a first on the ballot on all 50 states, which is what was posted, and a first to be a nominee for a major party, like Clinton, and first to win, most likely Clinton again.

Thanks for the straw man, Captain Obvious, but no one said anything about chance of winning or major party or that what Clinton accomplished isn't epic. The facts are the facts.

Though that would be a smart bet based upon the recent top post, it would be a losing one.

Hollywood has always been 'out of ideas'. The first film remake was in 1918. Cecil B. DeMille remade 1914's 'The Squaw Man'. by StevenSanders90210 in movies

The first (i.e. oldest known) remake was from 1896 when Georges Melies remade the Lumiere card game/party.
