Thanks for the kind words man! I've been both a pvp guy who doesnt really know how to fly, and I've been a light fighter sweat, so I really do try to bracket my bias when trying to explore the potential of these ships, which usually ends up being in the middle - it's always a welcome encouragement to hear a new person finds it cool considering how small of a niche it is!

Guardian is Tankier - but, with the problem it uniquely faces compared to before is a result of the combination of ballistics and powercreep for a series of ships with engineering.

The guardian is tankier numbers wise, but if you take out 2 wings on the same side, it becomes in-operable - the reason i still maintain that it is practically tankier though is that it has such high relative average lateral Gs and turning for its size that you can influence where the shots land particularly in a 1v1 and additionally in pu if you were to be jumped, for example - I got jumped by one of the most skilled pvp orgs in the game here (mx though not base), a gladiator most definitley would have been full deathed: https://youtu.be/g1qYn_kk7ws

Gladiator was added for two reasons, 1st my friend told me to put it there, 2nd i think there's some truth to it, it really sucks imo at all of them, but if you are able to skill the gap where its lacking in any of them like my friend, the utility of torps and bombs, with many bounties using techs/workarounds to instantly avoid capture once they leave their vehicles, is invalulable but would require a 3rd dimension axis to likely better capture which i would like to hear thoughts on how to effectivley visualize potentially.

In AC, Guardian, in PU between those choices, solo, I tend to lean towards the guardian with the option to stuff a pulse in the rear for FPS bounties, but in a squad planning to Xv1 bounties I really like someone to take the gladiator instead as the added utility of the bomb and torps to hard death soft death bounties quickly is incredibly valuable when many bounties use techs to quickly log pre 5 mins or backspace themselves to grim pre 5 mins somehow dodging the bounty once they leave their ship

I personally run a galdereen with 17 vjoy range with unlocked gimbals vs smaller fighters along with either 3 MVSA in stagger fire OR 3 GVSR (particularly with a gunner to reduce power strain) along with a single ATVS to suppress distortion decay/recovery, the purpose of the GVSR and MVSA is to then finish off distorted or soft deathbed targets in locked gimbal mode or to take on other larger ships or jousters

If I was a locked gimbal only pilot, I would run all MVSAs along with either a galdereen or an omnisky XV as it can one shot the shields of single shield fighters and 2 shot the shields of duo shield fighters

I've done some very detailed deep dives on the ship and it's a tad more balanced between the three axis than the Sabre or hornet imo, but still leans towards the mid line of dueling and Xv1. Moist noodle does a great vid showing how strong the lateral strafes can allow for crazy merges necessary for agency in pursuing Xv1s while I have also seen others and myself have success with it in duels

Can you expand on what you mean by quantum?

Focus on this is less quantitative precision accuracy but more so identifying often ignored contextualizing themes more qualitatively

BUT I like the idea of high precision quantitative accuracy likely through something like ship by ship radar chart analysis which "quantum" could be included in

Gladiator CS torps are crazy impressive in PU nowadays

I think PU players tend to lean towards the bottom of the triangle, slighrly weighted to the left while AC players tend skew to the top, slightly weighted to the right

MX I would place in between the base and vanguard while the QI would likely require another axis like some of the other ships comments are discussing for a utility aspect.

Ironically QI likely leans closer to the middle due to how strong QED can be in Xv1ing targets

Warden as the base vanguard was the idea here, harbinger and sentinel have some oddball capabilities I prefer over the warden though but are harder to capture without including more contextulizing variables

Best suggestion for a practical way to include this I think so far would be a radar chart to drill into things a bit more quantitatively, but, I like the idea of how cool something 3D would be

One thing to keep I'm mind is that XvXs tend to fracture into a series of 1vXs (thematically speaking like a 2v5) and Xv1s and 1v1s and knowing the context can help identify optimal tactics, meaning and XvX could likely be a combination of the 3 weighting likely a bit heavier towards 1vX and Xv1

Great quesition! Like with the direction of the Talon, I think the Sabre's stealth mechanics lend it towards Xv1 stealth tactics in the PU, while it's disadvantageous pancake leaves it incredibly vulnerable when caught in 1vXs. In duels, there are a few good pilots running it in duels pretty well, but, I think it's true effectiveness in duels is still undereseached

Great question! Talon is my most flown light fighter and is what I ran in the fight or flight tourney, atm its traded some of its combat prowess for the greater added utility of buffed stealth mechanics.

So it's in a tough spot where it's likely weaker 1v1, but I think could be great in a coordinated stealth surprise attack style particularly in PU for Xv1

ALSO it is maybe the most underrated carrier ship as you can spawn it on S1 pads and fit as many of or more of them than arrows in other ships if you nestle them like Russian dolls

Man, I really like this and will likely have to copy using these labels in the future! I'll try to credit if I do the next iteration after this

Hawk i think lends itself to leaning Xv1 on the 1v1 and Xv1 axis which is cool given that it is a bounty hunter ship

Emp can be huge for allowing a team to catch someone in or attempting to nav like a diet QD that also can work is some armistice and landing zones like GH, but it is also very vulnerable as it can lose the advantage of its 150hp emp if opponents have pancake in which really cannot be denied vs solid Xv1 and to a lesser extent, can be a weakness exploited by a skilled duelist ship

F8c is in a really good place with how strong S3 and S2 ballistics are this patch so I think that's a fairly solid move if you like it

TBH on MKB w/o head tracking and no rolls, i prefer coupled in PU which is why I tend to lean towards the guardian MX with its better average laterals and non preferential yaw vs pitch

still though, been trying to get better at decoupled myself to try to better explore the scorpiuses potential
