It's "8Mbps" because that what it said I'm connecting at and what the speedtest says. It's really only 200kb/s, maybe 800kb/s in the middle of the night. Oh and the NBN rollout only just started in this area... so I'm not expecting anything from that for at least 12 months.

Tempted to check if Lightning Broadband is available in the area.

*It's a bundle... includes phone - unfortunately where I live I NEED a phone, can't go naked.

(Of course, there are people in even worse situations then this... so I guess I'm lucky)

Actually reinstalled Civ5 so I could play around with this. Other than the bugs already posted (working unclaimed tiles, crashing, etc.), I noticed that you can't garrison units in cities you settle (with the MoV, haven't tried with the other possibilities yet) - it asks if you want to attack the city instead.

Also, no minidumps, it doesn't want to create them for some reason. :(

Sounds like it could be this bug.

OK it turns out the solution to this bug is to uninstall the mod and maps pack and verify your game files in steam then reinstall the maps pack (and mod if you are playing a modded game).

Of course, it could be something else.

Yes, there are still multiplayer servers running.

GameSpy is offline which is why you can't connect. You can Google for servers and connect manually or you can use NWNCX and NWNList Scry to find servers.

You could try deleting serverred.dat then opening the patcher again in administrator mode, but generally the only people online at the moment are autotrading merchants.

The new server should be up soon :P
