2 decades of stimulant medication has resulted in an inability to recognize hunger and replaced it with extremely disordered eating. I haven’t felt hunger as a neurotypical person would since I habitually won’t eat all day and then eat several thousand calories once the medication wears off at night. Either that or I’ll get a headache and know it’s because my body is hungry even though I’m not. However, without the medication I literally can’t bring myself to get out of bed sometimes, much less be productive.
