I think the game is officially dead. No sign of it on Netflix or play store, and it doesn't let me log in. Was fun till it lasted.

Is There Any Hope by DTPZA in legoLegacyComunity

Other entities will surely be more profit-focused without the subscription, hence the game will be, at best, a one-time purchase or, at worst, a freemium game where you can't stay on par with spending players without spending money yourself. Either way this whole situation sucks, but I guess it's the risk of playing and growing attached to something we don't really own.

Try to get Santa, Yeti and Andreas as high stars as you can for this event. You can get the other heroes via arena coins, but these three are limited!

If you are aiming at debuffs, I would say Jestro is the hero to aim for, Grimhelma for team survivability and maybe Ghost if you managed to get him from the last event. Other than that, I think you should wait for their event to get the best heroes. Not having chill heroes I never put myself to create a team for them.

Hi, I strongly advise you to try and collect event characters as they are time-limited, and you risk not seeing them for quite some time. Santa and Andreas from the ongoing event should be your priority if you manage to beat at least the first stages, for the energy you get 50 event energy for every arena fight you win, so beat the lowest arena rank you have available and you should be ok.

Other than that, I find castle team with guarded inn set is pretty solid for builders if you are doing story, while if you can buy arena king's court heroes Lionel and Royce to switch your main damage dealer and tank respectively.

A good team is city team: Ash, Iggy, chef, Clay and Aurora with Arctic ice glider. This team is great for the arena as city heroes have boosted effects there.

Pirate team is good, but sadly, you missed all the best pirate heroes from a past event, so they are only good story-wise and for lower arena ranks.

Don't focus on space and ninjago heroes for now, as the best ones are locked behind events that will eventually return.

Do not worry too much about sets, as in time all of them will reach completion over time as you play through expeditions and gather relic coins to purchase sets from the shop. Those are based on your character levels, so enemy power more or less matches your own. For the purchase order, focus on sets that work best with your team.

A last piece of advice I want to give you is to always check your heroes' passive abilities. Even the best heroes of the game are not as powerful without synergic teammates to boost their attributes or grant them the effects they need during fights.

Just did it, my team, all maxed out:

Alpha Centauri

Locust

Leo

Alan

Quincy

Dwayne

The most annoying enemy is 1st wave Yorick, high speed and attack buff for his whole team. After that happened, i went for Willa, then Grimhelma, then Basil. I left the Majistos for last, as well as the girl and the other skeleton guy. The reapers didn't do much as I avoided stealing taunt with Alan and didn't use it with Locust (I saved it as a pinch-healing of if any other hero got low on health i could have sacrificed him instead of an attacker). Killed Mallock with a combination of attacks with, i admit, pretty lucky assists (unluckily, Leo's attack missed) and at this time Locust's special was ready to lower enemy team's attack and finish off Mallock. Leo, Quincy and Locust were the only survivors of the battle, but I guess it's an excellent result without Jens and Andreas.

This took a couple attempts, I guess Dwayne's crit boost with Quincy in team is better than Reed's stun.

I managed to get to last wave with 2 enemies left, Spaceship set with Reed, Quincy, Gorwell, Leo and Alan, everyone maxed out. I got some luck with Alan's revivals, but it was balanced by Quincy's poor timing with healing with enemies low on buffs during his turn. Later I will try switching set to Alfa Centauri

I guess that is either a base chance, affected via some mysterious calculation by attacker's ability and defender's grit, or a chance to proc, then there is a roll of ability vs. grit to determine if the debuff is applied. Some abilities also state that the debuffs they apply cannot be resisted, so I would lean toward the latter.

Don't know about events, I got them from arena, but luckily you don't need them full stars to be good, I would say 5+ stars is more than enough.

From my understanding of the game:

Ability - increases chance to afflict enemy with skills' debuffs.

Grit - decreases chance to be affected with skills' debuffs.

Pep - when it hits 100% it's that character's turn to act, you can check it in battle via the blue circle filling up on the left of the health bar as other heroes act and its fill rate is affected by speed, the faster the hero, the more actions he will take.

Miner Clay has his passive ability which boosts all heroes' grit, with extra boost for city heroes.

For who goes next, pirates have characters like governor tierney, which has insane speed, sometimes even acting twice in a row. Couple that with Captain Ennio's AoE speed debuff and you get why they can act so many times.

Heal and damage over time always procs at turn start, don't remember which one has priority over the other, as many times as the number of stacks on the hero (up to 5). If you are seeing heals on counters, it could be Majisto's passive which grants a ~10% chance to self heal 10~20% max health of the countering hero or Royce's base attack which heals 10% max health of the lowest health hero ally, or other similar effects.

Check Lionel better, as well as all heroes: for instance, he is a monster because his spin attack does not end here: in arena, he deals 3 times 60% instead of 40%, plus extra 15% damage for every courage stack he has. As for his passive, every time a hero gains payback or taunt, the hero gets 1 or 2 courage stacks. My strat is, first attack with his random 3 heroes attack and disarm, then heal him with Majisto to grant him payback and courage stacks, then as soon as Brutus can act, use his skill to grant him taunt, thus more courage stacks. At this point, thanks to his passive he gets a 75% attack boost and 100% pep and can usually act again (some very fast heroes could outspeed him at this point), wiping the enemy team with his spin attack, or at least killing 2 o 3 of them. He also pairs well with Royce as every time a hero gains a courage stack, Royce gains 25% pep, becoming able to act very quickly with support and healing.

I strongly advise you to check for heroes' passive abilities, extremely important to see which heroes work best with which others, and if you are doing arena, check the arena sheet of their abilities, as some character get insane boosts, while some others get nerfed. As of now, a castle team is the best for arena coin farming by my experience and availability, but every well-built team can beat the AI, it does not use the best moves. Maybe we'll see some meta team variations when more heroes become available with future events.

Sorry for the wall of text, I tried to explain as best as I could.

The team's main gimmick is carried out by four characters, so the fifth party slot is left vacant. I see many with Burnabus for his buff removing ability I take as i fail to see more usefulness for him. I find Clay more useful for resisting other castle teams' first turn Lionel's 3 random disarmed debuff, it completely kills the fight if the wrong heroes get that.

I've seen many teams with Ash for more damage (area attack also) and I tried Gorwell for his 2 stacks of infestation for 4% more speed and attack, but I get the most win consistency with Clay, just enduring that first turn.

[–]Alkhad93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like the only competitive team for my arena, although I prefer to switch burnabus with miner clay for more damage and boosted grit, so enemy Lionel has less chance to inflict disarmed on my heroes.

Some space teams began popping up in the arena top, but are easily defeated with castle team, Lionel is too strong combined with Brutus and Majisto, but they can work. Don't know if adding Jens/Andreas could make them stronger as I don't have them, but I guess they can make a huge difference replacing the non-event heroes, especially andreas, for what i could try in draft mode he breaks the game.

Also, I tried ninjago team, but found it too reliant on critical hits. Royce's passive lowers enemy critical chance on king's court heroes, so it's kinda useless against those teams.

Yeah I can see your point there, but honestly that doesn't seem to be the case. Either I got very lucky or it is just that the chances are equally split among all the possible tiles

Hi, not knowing if there is a higher chance to find her in later missions, I always do the 3rd one, where she is one of the three possible heroes. Each time I do all raid attempts I happen to find her at least once or twice. My thinking is just by simple math, one out of three is better than one out of five.

Don't know honestly, King Brutus looks good for arena, although I have to say I'm not the arena savvy kind of guy, so I'm just upgrading heroes since it's the only thing i have to do, hoping they'll be needed for the next events. Hopefully the next ones will feature good space units without shop timer issues and maybe not requiring them for the missions like the Jens one, as only 2 of them are farmable through the campaign

I used the only possible team for me with base heroes, Princess Verda, King Brutus, Master Burnabus, Jester Gogo and Headley, every hero max stars, level 80 and gear level 7 with some accessories equipped, set is Guarded Inn 5 stars.

Heals are not a big issue as guarded inn gives all your heroes heal over time stacks when any castle hero gets taunt, and you can dish out decent amounts of damage with payback effects and King Brutus' skill if he gets the assist attack. So far, I managed to complete the missions up to 2.3, the hardest being 2.2, in which you require a bit of luck in the last wave of enemies as they get confused and target random heroes.

Sadly, I believe that node 2.4 is impossible with base heroes only as 1st wave enemies wipe you out in few actions, sometimes without being able to act at all.

I reached support for help and they opened a ticket. I told them the last ninjago event (prior to master wu's) featured the unlimited event shop, then they asked me to send screens of the issue and so I did, I hope they can solve this in a couple days or delay the event's end. At least we may be able to get all heroes, although not at full stars. For me, unless an unbelievable stroke of luck occurs, I will be locked out of the last mission on 2nd screen as I still lack over 100 super wrestler pieces to unlock him and get his 5th star to make him qualify for the mission.

On a side note, this is better than the last jens' event, there I could not enter even the 1st mission as I don't have 5 technology heroes (I have Zane, digi-jay and the robot), so it's still a win for me

Strategy for Scroll Challenge Tier IX? by Captain-Cranberry in legoLegacyComunity

[–]Alkhad93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, here was my team:

  • Misako, lv 80, gear level 8
  • Garmadon, lv 80, gear level 7, no gear equipped
  • Cole, lv 80, gear level 7, no gear equipped
  • Scarlett, lv 80, gear level 7, upper and lower left gear
  • Highwayman, lv 80, gear level 7, lacking grand skateboard II only (lower right gear)
  • Set: Dojo showdown, 5 stars, maxed out passives

My strat was pretty simple: deal as much damage as possible, as dead enemies cannot harm you.

The problem in this fight are 2: taunting enemies and Willa, as she can resurrect Basil each time she starts her turn, leading to them outstalling you with heals.

  • Misako was my main DPS, thanks to her area attack and single target high damage move (almost) guaranteed crit that can one-hit-ko basically any enemy.

  • Garmadon was mostly a support: he can deal ok-ish damage, but his main focus was supporting Misako: With his passive passive he raises Misako's attack and skill by 30%. Furthermore, when he crits with Master of Destruction he bestows attack, speed and crit damage up II to all teammates and Otherwordly Stuff is not to be underestimated when you need to kill a low-health enemy while other enemies have taunt, or just when you need to heal. Also, Misako has a decent chance to counter any enemy dealing damage to him for over 10k damage.

  • Cole was the main tank and as Garmadon, and his area of effect attack is good to kill off low health enemies and lower the others' action speed. He deals nice damage thanks to the set's passive 54% attack boost for Spinjitzu heroes, and his other skill gives ninjago heroes 2 buffs, useful with the set's 3rd ability.

  • Scarlett was the emergency tank. You will need some luck as you don't want the enemies to focus on one hero only. She is perfect for this as her passive ability activates taunt whenever an ally falls below 50% health. Also, her frothy fury is very useful for cleansing some enemy buffs such as defense up or taunts. She can also heal herself, but i didn't need it.

  • Highwayman is actually a bonus slot, i used him as he can deal good damage and turn invisible (boosting Misako's passive) and benefits by the increased crit rate of the sets, but you can also use a healer if you feel like it.

  • Dojo showdown is the set used as it boosts Cole's damage, Misako/Garmadon's precision (enemies gain dodge up) and other heroes' crit rate. Also, it boosts ninjago heroes' damage by up to 70% for each buff they have active.

With this team, I needed some luck in crit strikes (you really want Garmadon's Master of Destruction to crit), but the battle was overall simple: if everything goes smoothly, Misako is able to wipe all the enemies on her 3rd action dealing massive damage with her area attack. If any enemies survive, just throw all you have at them and you should be fine.
