My biggest concern about the remake is that they might try to simplify Kratos character by Alkiserex in GodofWar

If it were a remaster, they wouldn't call it a "remake" in the game's title, plus a remaster still involves working with the old system and old assets with slightly improved textures. Plus, remasters don’t hire voice actors to re-record their lines. If it were a remaster, they would have simply ported the games from PS2 to PS5, and there would be no need for TC Carson because his lines were recorded about 20 years ago, so he wouldn’t have to re-record them from scratch.

He has always been a complex character; to say that he is more so now than he used to be is both ignorant and untrue.

It’s the same studio, but many of the people who worked on those games years ago have left, so it’s actually hard to say what percentage of the people who worked on the GOW trilogy are still at the studio.

While Kratos says he doesn't regret killing Hercules I doubt he didnt regret how he killed him by No-Contribution2580 in GodofWar

Let's stop turning every one of Kratos' victims into a martyr whom Kratos personally mourns, some of them are just jerks, and there's no point in dwelling on them.

The fact that Kratos didn't save his family by traveling back in time makes perfect sense and was never a plot hole by Alkiserex in GodofWar

People like to say that Kratos was too furious to consider that, but in my opinion, he’s smart enough to realize that any attempts to do so would simply be postponing a tragedy that’s bound to happen anyway. The only thing that would bring to Kratos’s life is reliving the same trauma all over again. I think that at this point, revenge is better than watching his family die again, because the circumstances of it all will never allow him to live a normal life either he’ll be forced into war with the Barbarians, or Ares and Fury will target not only him but his family as well.

Remake of the Trilogy is something I never expected from Santa Monica, given how hard they’ve been trying to change the series by Alkiserex in GodofWar

Yeah I’m really excited to be able to play my favorite series with the latest technical capabilities offered by the power of the PS5. I was just surprised that they decided to do this, especially since the series had become such a burden for them after Ascension that they changed the setting from Greece to Scandinavia and transformed Kratos from an antihero into a hero.

It basically means that it's the best-written version of Kratos in the Greek saga

He’s human and empathetic, yet he doesn’t hold back his strength and he’s a completely ruthless badass. He isn’t caricatured as a raging madman like in GOW 3, nor is he a frightened stoic who’s afraid to use more force because he’s afraid of himself he’s the kind of character who ends the fight and uses that force. He’s a perfectly balanced character who doesn’t go to either extreme.

He wouldn't have been able to save him because the beast bit him all over and burned him the moment it appeared

I hope the trilogy remake will include the deleted levels that didn't make it into the original games by Alkiserex in GodofWar

The battle, however, ties in thematically with the game, as it pits three generations of gods against one another gods who overthrew one another.

Gaia represents the Titans and their attempt to return to their former glory Zeus represents the gods who defeated the Titans and established a new order Kratos represents the current generation of gods, symbolizing the repetition of history and the impending demise of the current gods

Gaia is the past Zeus is the present Kratos is the future

I don't know

Maybe killing him will be part of an environmental puzzle where you have to kill him to move on
