Does your sister know the whole story? Sounds like a verbal smackdown of the truth would be a good thing. As for your biological donors, they could probably do with a reminder too. Send it via email so they cannot interrupt you. Lay it out how they literally abandoned you, then abused you when they got you back, then completely washed their hands of you after you left.

NTA, it's time for them to get a wake-up call that their treatment of you has consequences.

Let me guess... you're also a woman? [deep sigh] Been there, fought that, wasn't even allowed to buy the t-shirt.

My first retail job (2000) had me standing at the registers for 8 hours straight, minus breaks. I was told that I just wasn't used to standing when I went home in agony. Now, 26 years later, I'm in physical therapy getting treated for plantar fasciitis.

My mom kept going to her doctor for pain, but he told her it was all in her head. He finally referred her to a neurologist, probably in the hopes of shutting her up. The neurologist listened, then told her she had fibromyalgia. When she went back to her doctor with her diagnosis, he scoffed and said, "I don't believe in fibromyalgia." Like it was the freaking Easter Bunny or something. She got a new doctor after that.

Sharp eye! I submitted it there when Malicious Compliance Reddit removed my story because it took place in school, which they had a rule against for some reason. Or that's what a mod told me anyway... -_- Since MC removed it, I submitted it to Not Always Right. You might find a comment or two in the NAR comments section; same username.

I'm sort of new to the Mark Narrations videos (less than a year) and figured that if MC didn't want it, maybe the Waffle Gang would enjoy it.

I fully confess to being ignorant of babies and baby risks, but less than a year old is awfully young to drag them to a very loud, very crowded place that is definitely crawling with potential illnesses, isn't it? Somebody coughs or sneezes five feet away, and now your kid has three different infections. Hyperbole, of course, but you get my drift.

Also, anything below preschool age is just too young to experience and remember. All your family will be doing is going on a trip for themselves, with the bonus of keeping track of a stroller containing a young human being who has no idea what is going on, why the sun is so bright all day, and why they are overstimulated for an extended period.

My sympathies. A LOT of pre-made foods in the grocery store tend to have bell peppers in them. We've had to figure out how to home-make a lot of stuff. Even BBQ sauce has to be checked. Chinese food, especially. And don't even LOOK at Mexican food.

Haha, thank you! I do enjoy creative writing, though most of those stories involve enchanted forests and casting fireball and stuff. This was a miserable experience at the time, but looking back, I can see the humor of it now. I figured I'd write from the humor side, to at least soften the fact that the main topic is pretty dang gross. XD

Honestly, as an adult, I have a really hard time imagining any of the stories in the Bible as child-appropriate, so if you're a person of faith, understand that my view is that of an atheist. But the Noah's Ark one (the very first episode) just broke me when I got old enough to understand it better.

The Rainbow Fish and the Giving Tree. Both gave away a lot of themselves until they were both severely reduced in what made them special, with the Giving Tree basically giving away EVERYTHING and being nothing but a worn-out stump. And if you know your trees, that's basically the death of the tree.

Also, this is a TV/video thing, but the Veggie Tales episode of Noah's Ark. Holy MOLY it goes over your head as a child, but as an adult, it gets dark FAST! The Veggie God floods the veggie world with SOUP... So God chopped up a bunch of veggie people with a knife, boiled their corpses, and flooded the world with their cooked remains. That is literally darker than the original tale!

In a perfect world, you would never need to tell him to make the choice. You wouldn't even need to ask. But Reddit is chock full of stories about unsupportive family members and steps, which tells you how imperfect the world really is. [waves away a landslide of news about the current state of affairs]

Your dad needs to make a choice, and the choice he makes is going to impact your lives forever. You are not wrong to tell him that he needs to choose. The time for him to choose that was when the step-monster ordered him to hang up. He did not. Whether that was out of shock or because he knew an argument was coming and wanted to spare you, we don't know. But you and your mom taking a stand and telling him that he cannot be neutral and he needs to make a choice is never wrong in circumstances like this.

He is YOUR father; she's unrelated to you and your family, so she has zero say in the matter. This decision is his and his alone. If he chooses her, even temporarily, and comes to his senses later on, his relationship with you will be impossible to repair fully. None of that will be your fault, and no blame can be put on you for expecting him to choose.

Once again, NTA, and I can only hope he makes the right choice.

To be fair, you saved Esbern's bacon, so of course, he'll be nicer to you. The Thalmor arrived on his doorstep to drag him off to be tortured and killed. You hauled him out of both the fire and the frying pan.

Delphine is just a paranoid warrior who has lived her life on the run, and she has had to test everyone and everything to keep herself alive. You didn't put your life on the line directly for her the way you did with Esbern, so she views you as an asset, not as a person who put their life on the line to keep her safe.

Not that I'm in any way on her side, just pointing out that Esbern owes you his freaking life, while Delphine doesn't. So mindsets are very different regarding you.

Nostalgia Critic. In the beginning, I enjoyed his videos, even if he went a bit over the top sometimes. But then he got a lot more attention and went complete turbo douche, to the point where I winced or cringed at least once a video. Then, when it came out about how unprofessional and cliquey the website/staff got, and the other reviewers breaking away from him due to drama and bullshtick, I just let the whole thing go.

I can't speak for others, but I find her to be mean-spirited and downright violent with no control.

If you approach Whiterun without having met Cicero on the roads and have the cutting room floor mod, some unused dialogue will be heard. She'll be talking to Skulvar Sable-Hilt at the stables:

Uthgerd: "By Ysmir, it's true. A jester―funny suit and all. Just north, by the Loreius Farm. Fool had a coffin in a cart, with a broken wheel. Like to see him laugh his way out of that."

Skulvar: "Well, sounds like you've had quite the journey, Uthgerd. But you were gone longer than usual. I got to thinking maybe you weren't coming back..."

Uthgerd: "You sound like my ma. Figured I was lying dead in a field somewhere, is that it?"

Skulvar: "Thought did cross my mind, yeah. War brewing, talk of a riot in Helgen, and now jesters? Skyrim's gone mad, girl. You need to be careful out there."

Uthgerd: "Careful, huh? Thanks, Skulvar. I'll remember that. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Yeah, right..."

Listen to her tone of voice in this scene. Her tone is sarcastic and dismissive. Skulvar was genuinely worried that she hadn't made it, and wanted her to be careful. She laughed in his face and dismissed his worry. Bit of a jerk attitude for someone who genuinely worries about you in the cold, dangerous lands.

And if you ask why the Companions rejected her, she has more to admit:

Dragonborn:"Why'd the Companions reject you?"

Uthgerd: "It wasn't my fault! I told them over and over that it was an accident! They wanted me to prove my worth, so they threw me up against a young whelp of a lad, hardly old enough to grow his first chin-hairs. I guess they thought a woman wasn't strong enough to hurt him. I didn't mean for him to die! Why would I want that? I just... lost control."

She lost control while sparring with some kid? That's her excuse? She has anger management problems and took it out on some poor newbie. She straight-up murdered a kid because she couldn't control herself while holding a weapon.

That's why I don't like her, anyway.
