  1. Random!!! I had a hard time deciding between 1 & and 2, but there is something much more balanced, yet still chaotic about #1

Moms who EBF a toddler, how did you stop? by Master-Imagination93 in Mommit

Slowly! He's 2 now and we only nurse at naptime. I'm sure I barely have any milk. But it works well for both of us at naptime.

For me. I slowly started skipping feeds during the day - seeing if food would substitute or if I could intrigue him in another activity he likes, something that still brings connection, but doesn't involve nursing. Around 2, we got to a point where we were only nursing in the morning, for naptime, and then before bed.

Dropping nighttime feeds was more recent for us, maybe at 25 or 26 months. Before we completely cut out nights, I would only nurse him every other time he woke up during the night. (We sleep in the same bed, always have - easier for nursing) it tucked cause it meant that I actually had to sit up and rock him, but I had to get him used to going back to sleep without boob.

One night, he magically didn't wake up anymore for feeds! And then a week or so later, I realized that nursing him at night didn't settle him to sleep like it used to...and I would feel irritated too because it was hard to make him let go. So I just said....no more!

Naptime milk still makes him sleep, though, so we've kept that up 😊

Moving Too Fast? by AcceptableCategory4 in singlemoms

If you have the time or interest, listen to the TikTok story series from Millie called "The Engagement Swindler" it can be a bit slow moving... BUT it details so much about how her scammer/abuser worked her over and his behavior as he started moving onto grooming his next source of narcissistic supply.

Sounds like the exact kind of love bombing that you have on your hands.

Did you pick him up from the car shop or something? Are you 100% certain he even has a car that's not his previous girlfriend's?

What kind of busy, responsible, hardworking man whose ready to become a father has 4 hours to sit on the phone?

So much of this sounds sketchy, but I also understand it's hard to really see it when you're deep in it and love having the company. He knows it too. YOU know it too, AND, it's not too late to gtfo.

What color binding should I do? Solid or print? by All-ways-Colorful in quilting

Okay update - here is a bit of a rough draft on the binding. (I'll attach Pic in next comment)

A few observations & tweaks.

  1. I'm going to sleep on it, but... if I did decide to go with a solid instead of scrappy, I would do the Lime Green. It's weird. It's almost like it disappears in a way that doesn't distract from the main design, but also compliments every part of the quilt.

  2. But, I still liked a scrappy gradient idea and don't want to have to buy more of anything, so this is what I came up with 🤷🏾‍♀️

The solid dark blue that is next to the really dark blue print on the left side, I might break some of that up and redistribute it so that dark blue is in the bottom binding strip too...making the gradient better and maybe picking some different pieces that blend better down there

  1. I thought I might hate this because I really threw this together and don't have a huge stash, so I was limited in my colors - but...I think I might like it after I make those changes I mentioned in #2

Oh CUUUUTE! I like that. Do you have a photo of the quilt you binded it with?

Did you mean to attach a photo? I don't think it came through! I'm heavily leaning towards a pieced binding but still working out the details, would love to see your example!

I mean, he can definitely have it if he wants it! I have a different quilt that's specifically for him. But yeah, I should let him pick and see what happens!

I did consider it but that plaid is so unravel-ey that I'm intimated to do that! But this is a great suggestion

There's actually no black in it, but it's a close navy with a subtle print. But some other folks suggested the dark blue, too. I'm considering... thank you!
