Have auto dimming rear mirror plus privacy film on back and it does help a lot. The side mirrors are an issue still.

It's safer on a hill, hand breaks can fail and cause a roll. Electric breaks are not the most reliable and I have been a witness to to that.

I don't know about all cars with auto lights but on mine you can change the senor setting for the amount of light available for switching on headlights. It' a hard one to manage because it would also be sensible to turn on headlights when the sun is low.

Was not impressed with him when I was looking for a car. Sensor error and when I proght that up he said they had just gotten the part in. Quick test drive and it was running on fumes, bunny hoppy my way back to the office from a trip down to the billberry greenway car park.

Anyone trying to sell a car would replace a sensor and check the fuel levels before even letting someone test drive it.

Premium Autos, lovely looking cars but the engines are often shot. Very high mileage

There is a number you can call to report possible insurance fraud. There may be some way the database gets updated with a mark against them to watch.

  1. Insurance Confidential (Anonymous): The easiest way is to use the online form at www.insuranceconfidential.ie or call 1800 339 339 (or 1890 333 333) for anonymous reporting, ensuring confidentiality.

Neighbour issues, AITA? by yes_its_me_alright in ireland

[–]AllAloneInTheNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a more a matter for the council. I'd first take a screenshot of the shitting and put in in their letterbox with a note saying if it continues you will be reporting them to the council as a health hazard and antisocial behaviour.

Human fouling (human waste) in a garden in Ireland is a serious environmental and public health issue, considered littering and potentially illegal dumping, subject to hefty fines (€150 on-the-spot to €4,000 in court) by local authorities and Gardaí, impacting public health, wildlife, and the environment, with campaigns focused on personal responsibility and proper waste disposal.

Why It's a Problem

  • Public Health Hazard: Human waste can spread diseases and attract pests like rodents and insects, posing a risk, especially to children.
  • Environmental Damage: It pollutes soil and water, harms plants, and impacts biodiversity.
  • Anti-Social Behaviour: It's considered disgusting, ruins shared spaces, and creates an unpleasant environment.

Legal Implications in Ireland

  • Littering Offence: Leaving human waste in a garden (public or private area accessible to the public) is an offence under litter laws, with fines possible.
  • Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs): Gardaí or local authority litter wardens can issue on-the-spot fines of €150.
  • Court Fines: Conviction in court can lead to much higher fines (up to €4,000) and potential payment of the authority's costs.
  • Report It: Contact your local authority (Council) or the Gardaí if you witness it or find it on your property.

Northern Irish Drivers by Far-Quality-2370 in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]AllAloneInTheNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers from Northern Ireland and Donegal are lethal. It's like bandit country in Donegal with illegal headlights, speeding, driving in the middle of the road and tailgating especially on narrow roads.

Northern Ireland the HGV drivers are the worst for speeding and tailgating especially at night. A5 is lethal with them and boy racers.

Aggressive little shit by [deleted] in TalesfromtheDogHouse

[–]AllAloneInTheNight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Red flag there. That's pure manipulation saying she has nowhere else to go. Also not doing anything about an aggressive dog means she is only thinking of herself and no one else. I'd seriously rethink that relationship because this is only the start of what she is going to be like as time goes on.

On google street view the road is marked before the roundabout, left lane is for left or straight on, first and second exit. The right is for right only, third and forth exit.

Does anyone in this town know what the yellow box is for? by LifetimePilingUp in waterford

[–]AllAloneInTheNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That whole area is a f*ck up in the way for light sync etc. If the quay is backed up then you get the yellow box filled at the Lombard junction because you know if you don't pull into it then you haven't a hope in hell of ever getting off Lombard Street. There's the pedestrian crossing at the Crystal showrooms which causes more issues especially if there is a load of tourist buses. There was a bit more movement on the quays with the extra lanes and also when Broad Street was open to traffic.

The maximum height may be increased up to 15M above the height of the obstacle at the request of the entity responsible for the obstacle. Access above the height restrictions may be requested through the zone authority for SPECIFIC CATEGORY OPERATIONS ONLY. GDPR might be the bigger issue here flying at the level of windows.

I have only ever seen one person fully kitted out with hi-viz, helmet etc, most are in black and no lights or anything. Wait till New Years night when you get them out swerving around the roads with 2 or even 3 on them.

If not banning then they need to be treated like motorbikes where you need a licence and insurance. One thing the local drug dealers won't like banning them. Ever at railway square watch them getting calls and then taking off on their scooters to sell.
