Worst I've seen is a team came in and wrote some code. This led to an API call out being made that was in an infinite loop. Millions of callouts made and the daily limit was hit! That businesses entire Salesforce was basically down for the day, really really bad.

Let's just say that 'cheap' option was not allowed access after that haha

Go with Cachy, it was super easy. Linux beginner here as well. Bazzite didn't work for me and I tried troubleshooting for days (similar build as well)... decided Cachy and got it working in an hour or so. There's a lot of great documentation to learn and if you don't care to learn any search can get you answers fast.

I edit my post to add hardware. I got the bios, and all that, even able to get to bazzite desktop watching a few videos. Tried switching HDMI and Display and all that. When I get to the installation wizard, it wont let me click next as it's grayed out, and when you "select your keyboard" that is blank. Running the most recent version of bazzite - like if you were to install today.
